OK. I don´t understand much about synastry and such, but the story with Placidus is that it is time-based quadrant house system. I need to roll back a bit in history here to explain this.

Originally, the house system was (Whole Sign), meaning each zodiac sign is a house on its own; And you can see that clearly used in some Hellenistic traditional techniques (e.g. Annual Profection), and even in some tablets from Babylon as I read once. In such system, wherever the ascendant falls, this is considered the first house, and then houses follow up according (counterclockwise) with each sign being a house. This system is also the default in Vedic astrology.

However, in some historical texts, there had been some variant systems based on the movement of the sun and these are called (usually) Quadrant systems. Because they divide the chart into quarters between AC, MC, DC and IC, REGARDLESS of the zodiac sign. One of such early system was Porfyry, where the division between each two angles (e.g. MC and AC) includes 3 equal houses. Later on, such division took a twist, as in for example Alcabitius system, where the time that the sun takes to travel from AC to MC is taken and divided into 3, and hence each house cusp is marked according to the hypothetical time that sun would take it to reach that point in the chart; This is time-based house system.

Placidus is time-based (came about probably ca. 17th century or so), and depends highly on the angle between AC, MC, DC and IC. Such system, though honestly I got some accurate readings from people using this system on my chart, imposes a problem for people born in higher latitudes, like Northern Germany and Scandinavia where the angle between AC and MC in some seasons is quite acute and it looks impractical to divide such space to thirds. Another problem is the big houses that encompass more than one sign (personally, I don´t know how they are considered in readings).

Some hints from ancient texts and techniques proposes that probably such time-based systems were used to decide the power of the planet (thanks to users in this forum for this info). In some texts, it is debated whether Dorotheus or Ptolemy did use quadrant based system as they seem to give a hint about it but the rest of the technique explanation was all done according to Whole Sign apparently.

One thing to notice that in such quadrant based systems (Placidus, Porfyry, Alcabitius) usually there is a rule that applies (not sure why but I see it often when I read about these systems) and that rule says: If a planet is 5 degrees away from the cusp of the next house then it is considered in that next house. Such rule doesn´t apply in Whole sign which is quite strict in that matter; If 2 planets are even 1 degree apart but each one of them is in a different sign, they are NOT considered conjunct. When checking your chart on astro-seek and would be using Whole Sign, you should be careful of this point because the aspects generated for the chart would eventually report that 2 planets are conjunct even if they are in 2 different signs as the case described above.

So, hope this helps you with your investigation.

2. This may picture a personality with a lot of undifferentiated traits, in other words a lot of prominent unconscious energies, unrealized (maybe unripe, maybe displaced) potential.

4. Virtually all of them. Astrology, an ancient compass meant to help with inward spiritual journey, with inner growth of an individual, has been completely externalized to deal with worldly matters, shallow personal problems, relationships etc. Instead of helping an individual to find the inner light, the source and the essence, it is used to interpret mere shadows on the wall, those endless projections cast by an ego standing in the way of the Light.

Your curiosity will lead you to excellence. :37:

1. Well, as a regular blood donor I use planetary hours to peek the best time to do that task (Sun, Mercury and Mars being good), but I think the usage of them stops there, in doing stuff. I don´t think it has a relevant influence on a person being born, besides it may make some sense it has. Planetary hours implies the planet "at charge" of that hour expresses specially during it´s duration (around an hour) but on the things/tasks that are being done during that hour. So I guess it may affect the birth process but not the person being born, not so much at least. But I´m just guessing, the best I can think of to analyze this in detail is to gather information around the births that happened around a planetary hour shift, and analyze the persons being born before and after an hour change.

2. Personally I met a few people with a low amount of major aspects between main planets, even dated a girl with just two or three of them, but I don´t see nothing special in that "kind" of people. Remember that as you start adding elements to the analysis, like asteroids for example, you´ll find that may be it wasn´t a chart with little elements interaction.

3. Normal, just the year before of "important" starts in my life (professional life specially), so I guess 1st house profection years seem to be more remarkable to me at least. And no, I´ve no planets in 12th house.

4. Answer that is an impossible task I´m affraid. There are myths, misconceptions and "unnecessary invented novelties" all over the place.

I wish I can help here as I´m also trying to make my mind about it (and other divisional charts). But if you like, check KRSChannel on YouTube. He has long series about D9 and related planets in various houses. Notice that he discusses planets in houses because whether you work in Tropical or Sidereal, the position of the planets related to the houses will remain the same (almost, not always) despite the change in signs. So, hope this helps.

You mean because Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury?

Well, difficult to tell since he is -just like me- quite Aquarian, at least in tropical which resonates well with him. He got :151:, :164:, :159:, :153: and :161: in :181:, so is he Aquarian/Uranian... Yes. Does this come from his OOB :155: in double Mercurian? Dunno...

And almost didn´t see Mercury in Aqua has a trine with Mars. High voltage.

As per the system I use (Vedic) I have Venus and Mars OOB...

Mars in the first in Scorpio and Venus in Virgo in the 11th.

I haven´t read too much on the subject, but from what I gathered oob planets gives one a zany, "different", type of personality. They threw around the words "unconventional" a lot. for me personally my unconventionality comes through more in how I think. How I perceive. A few others I´ve talked to with oob planets are usually the same..

I once was with a lady with oob Mercury and Lilith. She turned out to be a Flat Earth believer, radical protestant religious, firmly and proudly defending her Ulster, a hidden bisexuality and so craving for sex she easily bypasses her moral standards

One of my sons has Mars oob in 6th house, Gemini. He´s a genius with an IQ of 144. He´s very disciplined, comes home and makes his homework. Studies very hard and is #1 of the class with a leap to #2. Wants to know every detail. He has Asperger´s too, I guess his Mars is where the fascinations emerge.

Your Three-Dee I.Q. is being tested; :164: spends a long time parallel each equinox; That means low numbers for declination, never too far South, never too far North!
Serennu can list EVERYTHING! by declination; It is where I found Tolkien has Altjira :191: & parallel the Gal. Cen.
Stephen E. King has Salacia :191: & parallel the Galactic Center!
If the Galactic Centre is out-of-bounds than anything parallel and contra-parallel it is also O.O.B.!

Transit Astrology: Pluto Transit
Sun Sign - AquariusCatch-22 » Cosmette
It´s not a pleasant transit. I had a serious marriage crisis, the D-word was in the air, we fought a lot (with words) and it went together with a :160: :194: :160: influence which caused a depression too. Yes there was an affair and I´m still ashamed of it. We´re still together, I ended the affair pretty soon and we worked on ourselves and our relationship. The dark clouds are not gone yet, but it made our relationship less shallow and we are definitely not one of the couples you see in a restaurant in silence on both their phones. We know how to talk, we still fight but it´s like we have a mutual bond right now.

Pluto stays till 2039 in my 7th house so I guess this is it... Just afraid what it will do to my Venus in 2025 but nobody I ask has a clue. Or I´ll switch to Placidus and then the shit is over in 2028 :117:

Well, being a Pluto conjunction you can be sure this process will be imposed to you, I mean, that you didn´t look for it, that´s why it´s key to be open minded in front of life when that kind of tense aspects of transpersonal planets are coming to your life. Some things might happen suddenly due to the presense of Uranus there, but certainly imposed. And there it comes where you will be tempted to fight back and resist. If you do so, you´ll be exposing more and more to an inner deconstruction (since to be really specific Pluto does not destruct, it deconstruct, it does not erase something but transform it into something new).

In any case, you still have to process lot of years of Pluto in 6th house. Since it´s the planet of extremes, it like to do it´s stuff when it enters and/or exits a house/sign. You can monitor your job, health, etc, to see how Pluto works in the following years in the 6th house fields.

Oh in that sense definitely you shouldn’t think about this aspect and avoid marriage and 10 happy years, just because something bad can happen years later. Must live now and enjoy life.
