back again re reading this..

I don´t believe in cursed placements...so
Everything is there to learn from.

First of all whether your Venus is in the seventh or eighth depends on the house system you use as we discussed..

Second practical Capricorn Ascendant, and Cancer Sun in the seventh is more likely to draw those in need of help to you than the Venus placement. You just have to work out who you want in your personal space, who are OK as clients or casual friends and where you just want to step out the way. Anyone who lies about you is just someone to step away from.

Third Venus in Leo is gloriously warm and expressive, sensual and sexual and sometimes very artistic. If you can own this for yourself you won´t experience it so much through others.(whether seventh or eighth!) It´s not narcissistic unless tied up with serious afflictions.

Fourth sensitive Pisces Moon and perceptive Mars/Saturn Scorpio are plenty sensitive and fierce enough to keep nasty characters at bay. It might be more about playing and enjoying yourself more? And letting the nicer people in.

Personally I (still) think there´s lot of BS in online videos...everything needs to be taken with a pinch of salt and reality tested..including this.

As an expat Kiwi enjoy the glorious spring. Arohanui Viv

Saturn in 7th house is an interesting placement indeed because there are a lot of obstacles when dealing with relationships because Saturn restricts me from that and I’ve learn to embrace that because I never been the type of person to jump into every relationship I see because the end result is that you’ll end up hurt in the end probably because my Saturn hasn’t returned yet but it also help me learn the world is a cold, hurtful place to be in but it makes you a strong person overall mentally and emotionally too.🥶

You can look for aspects between synastry charts with your children or between them.

You can do the same thing but with composite how you or they would act as one person.

Yes, families have a great deal in common astrologically. Yes, there are techniques to see how people relate through the natal chart. But, this would not be an easy forum topic - as you are asking for a complete reading of three charts - and on a forum, you´ll get varying answers. Astrology can indeed help parents know how to give their best to their children.

If you want people to comment - you´ll need to post all three charts. You might get some interesting, helpful tidbits of interpretation.

a wow from me, too. I have really similar experiences. I´d never thought about my heavy Neptune making me seem snobby to some people - I always thought that was the Leo/Sag, ha! Now I´m considering that the day dreaming and being "in my own little world" a lot may play a role, too ; )

And I´ve also had the thing a lot of where 1. either ppl actually think I´m putting on an act or 2. *I think* they think that and am super sensitive to it - I do feel that´s distinctly Neptunian. but having a strong Leo expression *and* heavy Neptune confuses me a lot, so I can imagine it´s also confusing for others. and yes, I *am* all of those things at the same time, as are we all, but I think those two particular facets (and also heavy Mars/Aries with heavy Neptune) can come off as being odds with each other.

I´ve noticed I get totally different reactions from ppl based on which side of me they encounter first: If they get the Leo Sun Aries South Node confidence/warmth and then I space out, get dreamy and shy, ppl tend to really welcome and forgive that Neptune. But if I show up as Neptune and *then* the confident Leo comes out, or the "nope, hell no" Aries SN? Those who really cottoned to the Neptune/moon they first encountered seem to feel (understandably) shocked and put off. Maybe I´m just being Neptune paranoid and overly self aware -- certainly, many of us express more confidence as we become more comfortable with someone, so it grows with exposure -- but it sure feels like the ppl attracted by the Neptune, who are then put off by the fire, are often one of two types: 1. shy, internal, quiet, thoughtful ppl who feel rubbed raw by a lot fire expression. or 2. (and more often for me) they are domineering types who were expecting an easy, dupable, pushover; then the fire comes out. For the first type, I try to be more sensitive and accommodating of their sensitivities/needs, dial it down when it´s too much/too loud. For the second type? Well, don´t let the door hit ya - ha! But yeah, I think it´ can be really disjointing sometimes, those elements -- for both us and them.

Good stuff here.

regarding different systems: I´ve heard that using Whole House tells us more general things about the personality/natal, while systems like Placidious help us with more specifics and transits (cant´ wait to watch the video posted), and that really resonates. For example, in Whole House my Chiron is in the 6th, and generally/historically, I have experienced this as great difficulty with daily routine (while being painfully aware and ashamed of it). When I want to get deeper and more specific into the Chiron "wound", though, 5th house Chiron does that work really well. And? both systems really support each other to create a productive healing story.

Regarding Tropical and Sidereal, there are similar harmonies. The themes come from different places, but the themes are similar. In tropical I´m an 8th house Leo sun (cusp of Cancer), with ruler of the 8th house (moon) in the 1st house. I really feel this as strong Pluto/Scorpio energy, and strong Moon/Cancer energy. Then in Sidereal, I´m a Scorpio rising and a Cancer sun (consistent themes, but from different sources). In tropical, Sag rising. In Sidereal the sign on the 9th house is Cancer, who´s ruler is in the first, so bringing with it a bit of the Jupiter energy up into that ascendent. If I´m feeling really Plutonian, I look to Sidereal. When I feel more of the Jovial, I look to tropical.

Regarding 7th house and unsavory attractions. I have three planets here (including chart ruler conjunct Venus) plus Lilith. I´ve finally accepted that relationships are just terribly important to me - and not just my own, but the entire topic of relationship. And I think just having a relationship-centric worldview can often set us up to be more, um, tolerant of unsavory traits in others b/c we really want it to work out (in all types of relationships). Add to that the sensitivities of Moon in the 1st and heavy Neptune influences (which we both have, also), and it becomes more intense. Getting to a place where practicing boundaries *as* a realization of that super charged 7th house has been life changing (and honestly still working on it!). I worry less and less now about what I attract, b/c I trust my ability to see it, back away when it becomes clear that it´s an "oops, repeat", and assess the lesson with compassion.

But this value/focus we put on relationships can be hard, and especially if it´s attached to our sense of identity/self (Leo!), b/c we just can not control, from one side of the fence (which is all we can work with) how our relationships work out or don´t. We can show up firmly established in ourselves, receptive to the other, boundaries in tact (Leo there will help with some of that!); but then the other has to meet us and reciprocate - there can not be an "encounter" (which we deeply crave) without reciprocity. And god, it can feel really awful when we show up courageous, vulnerable, generous, warm and receptive, heart on sleeve, and are met with something nonreciprocal (whether through unawareness, disrespect, unavailability, disinterest -- however it´s not reciprocated). And this, I feel, is the gift and curse of Leo. Leo can show up over and over in this brave state of openness and warmth, she can learn to set the boundaries when needed, recover quickly from bruises (eventually. after practice, ha) and then do it again and again with renewed courage and huge heart. I think Leo here is both lucky and able. but it´s vulnerable, so boundaries are gonna be key.

My Venus is also in H7, in Leo.

As JayJay says, leeches will be everywhere and for everyone a threat alike.

I always saw this placement of Venus as the place where you take a certain pride in things. Like wanting a partner who will - to your liking - be presentable to the world. And taking valiant pride in any type of relationship, business and romantic alike: thinking loyalty, generosity,...as the Lion would.

With that, people who naturally have bad intentions may see an entry here and mistake your generosity for naievity..I take great pleasure in the look on those people´s faces when they realise: there´s a real a lion in there :)

But for spotlight, I would rather look at sun placement; Sun is a very big light, right?

You have to be careful about reading interpretations online and applying them to yourself. These interpretations are not synthesized. In other words, the person making those interpretations are speaking generally - they aren´t looking at your chart. You can never get the best interpretation online like that because you have to look at the whole chart - which they aren´t. The interpretation can change a lot!

So, if you are actually experiencing a problem that some interpretation affirms, that is one thing - but if you are reading these interpretations and hoping to avoid the experiences they are talking about - well, then that is another. You may never feel or experience those things.

You don´t have a stellium in the 7th. A stellium is at least 3 planets in the same sign and house no more tha 8-10 degrees apart from one another.

I do not think having a Sun and Venus in the 7th makes you a target of narcissists. Of course, there are a lot of narcissists out there. I don´t have Leo in the 7th and I grew up with some of them! Really? Think about this. There are a lot of negative and alarming interpretations out there that have no basis in reality.

That said, you have a lot of sensitivity in your chart. You have a Cancer Sun and a Pisces Moon - both water signs - and very sensitive to other people´s energies. You may even have trouble deciphering if the energies are yours or theirs. You probably have what we call - thin boundaries. Then you have Capricorn rising with Saturn conjunct Mars in Scorpio, 9th. Scorpio is the 3rd water sign and also prone to having thin or poor boundaries. You could have a tendency to feel responsible for others - to want to help them - which then helps you, because you feel their energies. It can also make you feel guilty if you don´t help them. You may have been taught that you SHOULD help others - that it´s the right thing to do or moral or ethical thing to do. You might have a good measure of "shoulds" that you feel you have to live up to.

A big goal of this chart is to learn to nourish yourself - really pay attention to what you need - emotionally. It is suggested that you revise the way you think about who you are - and what you need. Life isn´t 100% all about being there for other people. There is a need for equality in your relationships - true equality - true giving and receiving - real love.

Leo intercepted - says that what´s needed is an inner adjustment in regard to your self-identity. You need to love yourself first. Then you will find more equality in your relationships. There´s a need to self-expansion here - truly investigating your inner world - and making some internal changes. This will bring much fulfillment and a truer sense of self.

Nice description. Very true.

"when your are really interested in them isn´t likely to look that much different from the way you act towards any of the other chicks around at the time"

Yeah... Maybe my Venus and Mars in Aquarius is involved here

Astro certainties lie in the placements of the planets and the angular relationships between them and the place of the horizon line, (the Asc what was rising at your birth and Desc what was setting. ) All house systems are projective techniques. Placidus is the standard but in most software there are several other unequal types of divisions. As they are all human inventions I think they serve as a structure to assist the way an astrologer intuitively reads a chart. Whole signs goes back to Hellenistic times but is still an artifice. Hindu (Joytish) astrologers use the planets against the actual constellations in what is called a sidereal chart. There’s about 23 degrees difference atm. so planets are often further back in the previous sign Eg I have Tropical (western) Scorpio rising with Pluto/Mars ruling but in a Sidereal chart Libra is rising and Venus is the ruler. I’m playing with the idea that Tropical charts may relate more to personality and Sidereal charts to spiritual intent but that’s just me. Debate rages. Some Western astrologers use sidereal charts too. It can be good to compare and contrast.

If you use whole signs your Sun is in the seventh and Venus and Mercury are in the eighth, very possibly giving you insight into others values and needs. You should be able to spot a genuine narcissist a mile away (as they have no compassion or ability to reciprocate emotionally) If you meet one just step out the way and let them blunder on. They need expert help which few actually get.

I personally think there are a lot of nonsensical astro videos out there, so I take everything with a pinch of salt. There’s always a high side and a low side to every placement so everything depends on your attitude. With Sun Cancer in the seventh relationships of all kinds are indeed important, and each will tell you a little about who you are and are not. Best Viv

In Whole Sign system you dont have Mercury and Venus in 7 th house. Your Descendant (so, your 7th house) is in Cancer, so you have just your Sun in 7th house, and Sun in 7th house is not malefic by any means (depending of aspects though). Sun in 7th means you will "light" and your personality will come up through a relationship.

In each chart I have set it to;
- not in daylight savings

You were born during daylight saving time (DST was in use in Scotland in July 1984)

If you manually turn off DST ... you will get the wrong chart :32:

Others have already explained. It is confusing - the different house systems. People do astrology differently and prefer one house system over others. The most used is the Placidus - which AstroSeek uses as a default. Whole sign might be next in line as far as number of users-proponents. There are many different house systems! There isn´t a right or wrong one. It´s the one really awkward thing about astrology.

I like Placidus though - it´s proven to be very accurate to me.

The websites are probably using different house systems!
There are a many different house systems that astrologers use, which will alter the location of your planets usually by a sign or two. You should explore the different positions of the websites and see which one resonates with you more. Then you can continue to use that house system and set it as your default on most websites, like here on Astro-Seek.

For example, using Placidus house system it places my Sun in the 6th house of work and service, but I like to use equal house system which places my sun in the 5th house of creativity and passion, which resonates with me much more. Equal house system makes all the houses the same size, some people use Whole Sign system which is pretty similar I think. Placidus house system is a bit more jumbled up, as the house sizes vary, some houses are large and some are small.
