The Comet Neowise
The Comet Neowise is visible in the northern hemisphere this month.

It will be closest to Earth on July 22nd.

Visible in the north western sky below the Big Dipper.( Ursa Major)

Astrologers of the past must have had something to say when comets appeared in the sky.

This comet Neowise won’t pass this close to Earth again for 6,800 years.

Does anyone have any astrological thoughts or ideas about this comet?

Here is a photo of Neowise from Salgotarjan, Hungary on July 10th.

Wow! Orbital period of 6,800 years is a long one. It amazes me that it´s still inside our Solar system. I randomly searched and it´s not even the farthest one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…
"C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE)" has Aphelion 544 AU (inbound) and 720 AU (outbound). Perihelion 0.29478 AU. It makes me AU :4: :36:

I’m not sure about this specific comet , but aren’t comets usually a bad sign?

I think I recall that comets were regarded as bad omens in the past.

Though I think any unusual natural phenomena was seen in a negative way.

Well....the last 6 months have been quite tumultuous....so perhaps the ancients were right!

I guess tracking comets , especially those with long orbits is quite new.

I remember Haley’s and Hale Bop in my lifetime.

I haven´t been in an Observatory and Planetarium for a long time. They are open! Independent stargazing with binoculars is also great. Hope to take some photos. Enjoy your time. :)

Good one, good one.

Followed by Poundfoolish.

Neowise is a name apropos for the times we are a livin´.

There was a gentleman I worked with long ago; a Scorpio, whom loved the band, catastrophically.

Gotta watch out for which pits you sit...

Thanks for the article Chiron the Centaur.

I understand this part...”A patient, cautious, and responsible attitude is required. But flexibility and open-mindedness are also needed as you adapt to changes in the level of restrictions in response to the coronavirus pandemic“

I would add economic and social upheaval as well.
