Star Betelgeuse

Star Betelgeuse
BETELGUSE, the star of Orion, is running out of light and may die very soon, causing a great super nova in space, the brightness of which would be seen on earth for days as a light the size of the full moon. It would be the most amazing event of the last millennia on earth.

Betelguse is a star 800 times larger than our sun and is one of the brightest stars in the Milky Way. In fact, because of its distance from the earth, its death may have happened around the 14th century and we will only see it now.

It is in line with the 28th degree of Gemini, when on June 21st a solar eclipse will take place. Mystery.
Not enough, Nostradamus has a prophecy about this supernova, a glow that will last in the sky for 7 days.

Will it affect the planet or will it just be a very bright light show?

I thought we should expect Jesus´s second coming instead. The Bible clearly stated that there will be horrible signs in skies before that. Maybe you can find exact verses to quote.

The shockwave from Betelgeuse is close to halfway here, the three centuries it takes to get here and the two centuries already completed are only to worry about for those who measure their lives in multiple centuries.
Supernovae much farther away have been implicated in mutation rate throughout prehistoric history.

Not only did Nostradamus prophecy about these types of things, there are several references about the shifts that are/will be taking place right now during our lifetime. Pluto is just now marking one full solar orbit. Not to mention the conjunct with Saturn in Capricorn that happened last week.

The scripture from the judeo Christian biblical text your speaking of has little to do in reference to the prediction of or direct correlation to the supernova event. Found in the book of Job 38:31. You are most likely confusing it with the mention of the star wormwood mentioned in Revelation 8:11. Which falls from the heavens and makes all the water bitter.

For a supernova to cause any actual damage to earth it would need to be within the range of 30 light years. And considering our Sun (the closest star) is middle aged, I believe we are safe.
