Geometry clash
I have an issue with the Vedic chart being square. I´ve read quite a few articles arguing that squares trap energy in the corners. The flux of energy is slow and heavy and it has a tendency to pool in the corners.

Now, if you compare this to the tropical/hellenistic chart, which is round, the energy flows much better. As we know, a circle is the perfect shape in geometry. Its design is precisely why energy cannot get stuck. There are no corners. The flux is constantly moving and changing.

So if we focus solely on this point, why are the North/South Indian charts square? Did the Vedic sages have a way to release this ´trapped´ energy? Did they think the square was somehow superior to the circle?

(yes I know why the shape is square: sign vs house emphasis and easier to read and correlate)

I also had this thought when thinking about planets. Why are planets ´circular´ and not square? (yes I know, planets are not a perfect circle)

you know vedic chart ( the most used and accurate North indian format ) has its square divided into triangles which means the vertex of the triangle has an angle and by connecting those vertices they form several circles ?
Math and geometry my boiiiii :5:
So realistically vedic has more circles then tropical chart :16: :61:

Another fact, energy grows in square by corners, same way universe expands ...
But that is some occult fun fact which people may not believe in.
Circle is shrinking if not fed. Smt like Sun that is shrinking.

This picture might help explain the circles in vedic chart

Vedic astrologers use a lot of calculations and complimentary charts. If they had to draw all the charts in circles, that´d be a waste of time because, they don´t need a circle to tell that a planet is in Gemini, they see it by longitude from their calculations and just scribble it on a square for quick reference. Simple and way more effective for seeing yogas, aspects and everything.

Hmm, interesting. But the circle is still the foundation of energy transfer. Even in squares, albeit invisible.

Yes but this is not actually good because the energy cannot escape. Unless you find a way to release it. It will grow and grow and sink the whole chart. Energy needs to constantly flow in order to be beneficial. But point taken!
