This is my oldest son´s chart. We are in the process of diagnosis for him as we have been struggling with him for a few years. He´s always been a little ´odd´ in certain ways but he´s developed oppositional defiant disorder, possible adhd due to genetics and I am now just opening up to the possibility of autism/aspbergers. Anyone who is familiar with these disorders maybe see some indicators in his birth chart? He´s had some pretty heavy transits for a little guy since he was very little as well... plus with covid and different life events I´ve always just felt like there´s been a reason other than this that caused certain behaviors...but he definitely has signs of high functioning autism/aspbergers and I´m having the hardest time with him.

Here´s a link to his birth chart... I am having issues with uploading an image here.…

I can provide some insight, however it would be inappropriate to provide an end-all, be-all correlation with a harsh natal placement to something like a neurological disability; but there can be natal placements that can be indicative of prominent areas of restriction or potential for lessons.

For instance, I can see Black Moon Lilith in his ascendant, which is the personality of the native. Lilith´s allegorical association is literally to be ´defiant´ and that can easily be seen in anyone that has this placement. For others, Lilith shows where in an area of life do we want to claim our independence from, to express our total sovereignty at all costs. For those that have Lilith in the 1st house, this independence is now embodied as a core personality trait. Sorry! This can be a blessing in disguise however, as these natives can be very magnetic to the average person, and similarly to Pluto in the ASC can be an attractor to people subconsciously wanting to understand this placement and person.

I can also see Saturn in the 3rd house, in square to Jupiter as well as Moon and Pluto in the 3rd, close to the IC.

Saturn is the great limiter of astrology and in this we can see a level of restriction with regards to the intellect, and/or communication. This is more prominent due to his chart being diurnal (day chart) and with Saturn in Sagittarius in square to the ruler of the sign he is in. This doesn´t mean Saturn is more harsh because of this, but rather that Saturn´s ability to protect this house is weakened. Saturn has an aptitude to protect the house it is posited in, and once a Saturn return occurs for the native do then the restrictions lift and freedom is gained with this area of life.

I can also see other aspects that may influence a native´s intellect but I feel as though it may be grasping straws to the greater influence in this - which is Saturn´s dignity and Black Moon Lilith in the ASC.

Hope this provides some insight, as this is only just a glimpse which I can see other very positive placements that can be blessings within context but this was a distinct question and I didn´t want to ramble off topic :)

It certainly can´t be an immediate problem, but eventually there is a risk of him hurting himself during his first sexual experience!
See if he is interested in Science Fiction, encourage aspects of theatre!

Hi Jaided,

I got a diagnosis of autism. Just to inform you, since the fifth edition of the DSM "Asperger´s" isn´t an official diagnosis anymore but I guess I would have it a couple of years ago. It´s now an umbrella diagnosis covering a lot of kinds of autism, hence the "spectrum" in ASD.

It´s too bad, having 3 sons with the diagnosis too I probably would indicate some good routes to get along with it (diagnosis centers, administration, trajectory issues,...) but the advice I have would only apply in Belgium, not Canada. The most important is to have a multidiscipinary team do the diagnosis.

OK, astrology then. When I look at the charts of me and my sons there´s actually nothing that really jumps out. I heard once my (tropical) stellium in Aquarius may indicate autism. And indeed, all my sons and I have a stellium (at least sidereal): capricorn, capricorn, pisces and aquarius. To say all people with a stellium have autism does look a bit sharp...…

My second son got a conjunction of Mercury and Neptune. That´s the only thing that happened...

Proficat. Ook zo´n late diagnose als van mij? Waarom heb jij je dan uiteindelijk laten testen?

All I can say is the 1st house Lilith my son with Asbergers has also. This is about having a negative self image - not liking the way one looks or appears to others. If one is reminded of how one looks to others anger or rage can sometimes occur. One feels like an outcast accordingly.

I also note, and please excuse if I talk out of turn, that the Mars opposed Venus and Sun I have seen similar for gender issues. Could this be an underlying issue for him? Maybe he isn´t conscious of it yet.
His 6th house shows that he has a Uranus quirky mind and a person with this needs constant mental challenges in Pisces, he could be conceptualising his inner fantasy world. He would need lots of alone time to do this. Is he interested in computers or electronics?

From his chart I would say that he could be really uniquely talented if he can be allowed to go along his own maybe eccentric (very eccentric!) mental path. Because you´ve posted this question, I think you are a very good, caring parent who genuinely wants the best for him. Sounds like you are the right mother for him! Maybe other family members are less understanding and want him to "behave" more/better??

Hope I´m in the right ballpark.
Best of luck
Terry 😊🌼

It is true that the period of the covid was not easy, especially for the little ones whose growth was altered notably because of the mask. Indeed, the emotional construction, passes by the recognition of the mimics and the body language associated with the various states of mind. The major problem is that the mimicry necessary to learn about the other and, as a corollary, to develop empathy, was not able to take place correctly at a crucial period. The result is a great deal of confusion and a loss of reference points that are essential for socialisation and respect for the values that contribute to life in the community.

It may be that part of the reason for your child´s closure and systematic opposition is that he lacked the possibility of adaptive responses at a time when his development was calling for it. This being the case, we function in phases and these shortcomings have repercussions on other aspects of growth. Not having had the opportunity in the immediate environment to make certain essential cognitions, this may have led to your child´s inability to grasp the rules, the limits, the recognition that the mirror of the human community around him brings.

Afterwards, it is possible that he does indeed have a background conducive to autism, but the covidian crisis must have been all the more delicate for him. All this to say that if it is an autism problem, the stars will be of no help in understanding its origin, unless you know specifically the theme of his conception, as the source is post-natal anyway.

In any case, I wish you good luck and I hope that a diagnosis will help you and your partner to surround this little being in the best possible way, without suffering too much from the efforts that this will require. Love remains the best guide. I wish you and your family all the best.

Best wishes to you :17:,

The lord of his 3rd house, which rules speech and communication, is exiled. I notice that many charts of people with ASD have exiled/fallen or retrograde 3rd houses. The Moon is technically exiled in Capricorn, mainly because it can cause issues with emotional aloofness and idiosyncrasies in professional environments. Mercury in Taurus is a placement that often causes mental inflexibility

My oldest and I are both autistic people. Kid´s diagnosis came first, as isn´t super unusual these days, esp for women from our generations.

Kid also has Saturn/Ascendent "flow" (conjunction in our case), which I think means Saturn has an easier time creating some rigidity, esp in how others perceive you/your outward facing "self". but also with this comes that wonderful tenacity! I think Saturn in the third can also create a certain style of communication that we might see more in neurodivergent people - either difficulty there or simply a more formal way of communicating that comes across as heady, detached or overly structured (esp in square to Jupiter, who´s lord of this house and in analytical Virgo).

Me and the kid both have Chiron in/on the 6th (depending which house system we use) and we both really feel this as a struggle with day to day "executive functioning" (though, I have a lot of thoughts about how this isn´t really a problem with us - moreso that people like us can´t do capitalism as well as others. Not that anyone does it well. How ridiculous even the whole concept of "executive functioning"is!)

Oldest has Uranus in the 7th, too - which comes as a sort of eccentricity in how they relate to others, I´ve noticed.

I´m an 8th house sun, too, which can create a bit of an outsider feeling for a host of reasons.

I´m a Neptune opposite Jupiter, too (ish). I mean, I have Nep in the first conjunct moon, so that feeling of being other is there without Jupiter in the mix, but I think Jupiter tugging on it from across the pond is certainly a big part of it.

I wonder about the 2nd house Mars for your son, too - a lot of energy into in self reliance but also frustration there and force around what is "mine" (though that´s certainly all toddlers and young kids, I´d expect it extra with this placement — and opp Venus/Sun.)

A moon (in Cap, in 3rd) sandwiched between Pluto and Saturn feels like emotional containment then explosiveness, can seem cool/detached on the one hand, then indulgent on the other.

I´ll say that I think all of these placements are also really strong in "positives", too... lots to be done with them. But right now, I think you´re wondering more about what challenges can be seen. And that Sun/Venus and Jup/Merc/Pluto trine, more strength, depth and beauty.

Astrology aside, what you all are navigating is a challenging time for both parent and child. The months/years that led up to our discoveries of autism were difficult to manage. It can be an intimidating world of information to step into. It does get easier in many ways. My strongest recommendation is to find neurodivergent communities on social media and elsewhere and learn directly from autistic people, themselves. My heart goes out to you. We´ve taken a pretty alternative route high on acceptance and low on modifying ourselves; what´s worked for us certainly doesn´t work for others, but I´m always happy to share. Feel free to DM me!
