Vic Dicara´s stuff
I just found this guy on youtube and read some of his things.

He tried to prove that sidereal is not according with veda sacred texts like Surya Sidhanta and tropical is correct although observes nakshatras and vedic terms.
So, for what I understand, he adjusted sidereal astrology knowledge to tropical astrology.

"He tried to prove that sidereal is not according with veda sacred texts like Surya Sidhanta and tropical is correct although observes nakshatras and vedic terms."

He sounds like a nut who doesn´t know which end is up, tbh.

I used to attempt to watch some of his stuff, but he came off pretentious to me..and I don´t know. If I don´t jive well with the person´s energy who is trying or attempting to teach me something - it doesn´t work.

Pretty sure a few years back..when Kapiel and Joni were pumping him up, he was strictly vedic.. Dont know what happened.

Ernst Wilhelm uses both,(at least he did last time I checked) but he´s knowledgeable in Jaimini - and I like him. He´s a bit on the monotone side, but I feel he is genuine.. and he has the same nodal axis as me.. so I like listening to his experiences..

I mix them both and have good results predicting exact times of events and elements of the event...

So I guess it is just whatever works for you personally... :4:

You have to experiment for yourself and see what works for you.

I read everything and try to fit whatever I can relate to into my personal puzzle of knowledge... and I don´t judge others... except people who can be asinine and not open to new knowledge... or are able to admit when they are wrong...

Other than that... the objective is to learn as much as possible... :4:

One day you may look back and be like... he was right about this... but I just didn´t understand it at the time.

yeah but trying to "prove" this or that, as she stated he is doing - just seems like a fruitless task and much more about the ego. . he can continue on his way of using both, by trying to prove something? We´ve heard it all before.. everybody wants to be the hero.

like I said, Ernst uses both, but he doesn´t denounce one over the other as far as I know.

I dont care either way... it doesn´t effect me...

And I´m not trying to defend one or the other... it´s been a debate before my time and it will be a debate after my time..

No point in wasting my energy arguing about a fruitless topic...

It won´t change anyone´s opinion in the end. :6:

I think he makes sense. And I do think his logic about this stuff is clear cut.

But his reading on me wasn´t that great though. And another astrologer by the name of Claire nakti found exalted sidereal planets to have significance like venus in pisces in sidereal was found in artists, so on and so forth. Mercury in virgo sidereal was found to have significance too.

So I´m confused.

My conclusion is that back in the day when some nakshatras were aligned to the zodiac that was anchored to then equinox points, astrologers made observations about what planet does well in what area of the sky, noted it down, and then declared those signs the "exaltation points" when in reality, some planets just do well in certain nakshatras. Then with the equinox points shifting going to a new zodiac sign, just sometimes harder to bring those techniques here.

What vic dicara does is he found that surya sidanta says that the zodiac is anhored to solstice and equinox points, and now applies blindly and traditionally every single thing only the vedic books say without incorporating other planets, other research etc. I genuinely believe the other planets influences are very real.

I don´t mind him trying, and I understand his attitude. it´s not necessarily ego driven, but one day, some day somebody might be the proverbial hero that solves it. Why not? People need rewards / social recognition to put energy into things.

It´s like when one spends weeks/years mulling over something within one´s area of expertise.. and then on tops finds the proof he has found, one can become very convinced, and ready to go out and present the findings.

Yes, the stuff is a living hot potato for some. I don´t mind.. I wish I was deeply knowledgeable enough to evaluate his efforts in depth, but I´m not yet. Regardless I think he contributed something which seems very difficult to deny to the debate.

As far as I know, years ago he *did*

He may have changed by now, or flip-flopped... I don´t know, but years ago, he did...…

His website still appears to be that way. :15:

Ernst is alright.. :15:

Yeh, I really don´t care.

His videos weren´t for me. I learned more from Kapiel and Punneit but that´s me. Tomato - Tamatto

I can´t do the flip-flopping...But if people enjoy all means ´Dicara-it up!!! have fun.. these are just our opinions.. and she brought it up - on a public forum, so..

I really apreciate all your contribution to this.
I really didn´t know the guy and seem a bit awkward to use vedic in tropical not this couldn´t work but the reason I changed for sidereal was the fact I use stellarium to check the sky and planets are according to sidereal.
About axis and equinox, I can´t have an opinion cause I´m such a rookie here.
Maybe I´ll understand him in the future but for now, doesn´t make any sense.

And I found an article about his b***t and how he claims to spent years studying vedic

Nah his reading didn´t resonate woth me. He just did a personality reading. His methodology seems to be different from even other astrologers that to tropical with vedic astrology.

Oh really he mixes the tropical degrees with sidereal nakshatras ?? Am I getting that right ? If so I had no idea…

I listened to a couple videos on the nakshatras and liked his explanation for my Lunar nakshatra especially, it was pretty deep ! But my experience of his content is limited…

I remember he said though that he didn’t think nakshatras mattered in the divisional charts but I disagree with that…. Have seen value in checking the nakshatras in D9 etc personally
