A sci-fi take on astrology
Let´s say we colonize Mars and a child is born there. Would he or she be void of Mars qualities? What would Earth signify in astrology?

The Earth planet would symbolize your personal sense of lost civilization.

It would rule your 4th house.

Abandonment, rejection and neglect.

Every house and planetary symbolism would change.

For the while the child would be a man without a country, only worse.

Death by homesickness and separation.

Your blood would have the ability to oxidize.

Everything and everyone would look at all situations, big or small, as a fight to the death.

Much worry and fret.

The good news?

You gain roughly 37 minutes of time.

So, you can slow down a bit.

But, hurry up!!

we’d have to come up with a whole new system from scratch, or at least kinda from scratch. study the transits with mars at the center (for those of us practicing geocentric astrology) & start recording patterns & correlations.

Cool question :5:

Indeed it needs to be calculated how the stars are aligned with the child´s birth time & location.
And the earth´s role in the chart researched.
The 12 sectors that divides the sky & we use as houses, also needs to be re done fresh on this planet where the 24hr day span doesn´t apply.

So yeah that´s an interesting concept, planetary astrology ;D

Since we´re born on earth, traveling to other planets,
we take our qualities in chart, as part of us with us.
Even on transits charts, it would still apply as back home on earth I guess.
But we can´t know for sure unless we´re actually there & investigating haha

Arecentric Astrology has been discussed here before.
I would take the Thema Mundi, remove the little male ( :155:) symbols and put the Lot of Fortune symbol in it´s place because it looks like the Astronomical symbol for planet Earth! That means :171: & :178: would be the signs that Earth rules.
July 4th aphelion is celebrated on this planet; No doubting that having aphelion winter compounding seasonal winter on :155: planet would be "a thing" as Kimmy Schmidt would say!

Another question. What do you think would happen if, let´s say Mercury got nuked and exploded? Would its influence on the people born after the destruction of Mercury disappear? Would it somehow erase the need of communication within people?

Sorry.

Uranus would prevail and, yes, people would STILL be talkin´ shit.

Alternatively we could use modern science to insure that those scheduled to be born with :153: combust actually had close Cazimis thereby increasing the number of geniuses!

Hay Knauw!!

The OP said "Sci-Fi."

No place here for reality.

We have enough of that on Earth.

You know, the place we want to get away from.

✌, anyway.

You are thinking of the Teen-age Sci Fi class where ANY! blither blather suffices for the title of Science Fiction!
$, when $ was scarce was used to push short-stories toward "Rocket Fiction" and then it snowballed!
The goal of Science Fiction was the realization of space travel before the digital revolution. Meaning the "Reality" was thought of as the meat and "Fiction" was the condiment!
