Coincidence or karmic debts?
Hi, I found this strange coincidence between my chart and my spouse´s. We both have Saturn in Aries. I have Rahu in Aquarius and Ketu in Leo and he has Rahu in Leo and Ketu in Aquarius. I also have Saturn in the 7th house and someone told me that this means I was married to the same person in a past life. Can anyone tell me more about these placements? Also, I find that Indian birth chart generators show me as moon in cancer and libra ascendant while western ones show me as moon in Leo and scorpio ascendant. Thanks!!

"I also have Saturn in the 7th house and someone told me that this means I was married to the same person in a past life."

Eh. I´m not crazy about these astrological theories that people just come up with out of nowhere.

I think the reality is that many of us marry the same people from life to life.

What makes me think this is something I´ve read about called the "law of recurrence", which basically states that the same things happen to us from life to life, and are further molded in this life by the addition (or subtraction) of karma generated from the previous life.

For example, if, in our last life, we met our spouse at the age of 26, we will again meet our spouse at the age of 26 in this life, under similar conditions, etc. The quality of the relationship will be determined by the karma associated with it as well. If we had difficulties with our spouse in our last life, and never addressed them, those problems will persist in the current marriage, and will probably be even more ingrained and difficult to solve. If we worked on our problems with our spouse last time around, and resolved some of them, we will enjoy the fruits of that in our current marriage, and perhaps continue along the same positive trajectory.

We develop alot of karma with our marriage partners, for good or ill; it makes sense that that karma would be worked out or resolved between the same two people. It´s certainly not just going to "evaporate", and it makes sense that it would not be worked out with someone who was never involved in the initial situation. Souls are bound together by their karma together, for good or ill.

All of that aside, I´d go with the good ol´ tried and true interpretation of a 7th house Saturn: An older partner. A serious partner, perhaps one who is something of a father figure. Not an abundance of partnerships, but a committed one when you find it. A serious attitude towards relationships... Etc...

Many couples might mirror the same archetypes and planets like Saturn in Aries.

The Nodes in Reverse usually mean there is some karma and dharma being resolved from past life, but can pose an issue at a certain point because you´re both going in different directions in life. Everything can be fine until certain transits that kind of spark off the karma and then you may divide and go different directions to pursue your goals in life.

I´m not sure about the Saturn in Past life in the 7th house. I do know it means delayed marriage, or probability of marriage lasting long-term. It may have some karma and dharma associated with it.

Vedic is a whole different system and if you´re just learning probably good to stick with one or the other until you grasp a lot of the basic information or it might be confusing.

This time you can wait and do Saturn´s work correctly in your relationship (although I’ve read, Saturn in Aries hates waiting for something) :68:
