guilty pleasure show/movie?
What are some for you? Now I don´t subscribe to TV, anything I go back and watch - should say rewatch - is old as fuck. Just how I roll, I guess.
Everyone has something they´d stumbled on, maybe in adolescence, maybe later... now in adulthood. Something that may take your mind off to a needed break in these bleak times. Either way...something old, or something new to you, but may be old.

What are some of those mindless shows or movies, you have gotten sucked into. Even the high minded intellectuals, you lofty folk..
I´d be interested to find out, someone like J**** secretly has penchant for old "Girls Next Door" episodes.

🤔 🤔

:96:.............................NETFLIX "The Silent Sea" English Translation of Korean translation of "Mare Tranquilities" been going through it one episode every several days when broadcast television has been serving up kitschy old stuff for the pandemic!

I seem to be going through an Asterix and Obelix phase at the moment. I always loved the books as a kid and had no idea how many of their movies they made. Most are online for free

PBS in U.S. wanted to drop "Dr. Who" however the Whovians demanded it remain in syndication! That was five Doctors ago

Oh! you think three breasts is radical; Hard to find references online to the Boston Batwanger who made pornos, professed to be primarily male; had complete genitalia of both sexes, the only REAL nonbinary (if one likes harsh opinions!)... :119: :120:

Human DNA is 60% the same as banana dna.

So Human’s and cats have similar dna

Another Savannah cat photo. A human like expression.

Maine Coons are great. Rag Doll is another giant but mellow breed.

I’m not a fan of breeds because of what breeders did to dogs. Caused so many health problems with irresponsible breeding.

Maine Coon is a natural breed.

Plus people pay crazy money for exotic breeds and it leads to cruel breeding practices.

As I’ve said before, cats just show up in my life.

I never went looking for one. Even with that I’ve had a Maine Coon and a Bombay .

Tuesday looks like an Exotic Shorthair or Doll face Persian. Which is just a Persian crossed with a domestic shorthair.

Persian cats didn’t have a smushed face originally ….They looked like Tuesie.

Mutts are fine.

Raiders won. I’m glad I stopped watching that game. It would have been tense.

The July that was 1/2 of a year ago had a flurry of articles about how cat-like the human genome is.
Which means eaten by a :129: is almost cannibalism!

"Gotta beat Brady."

Oh God...

Of course...

Well..TB is in some disarray now because of the Antonio Brown incident...

Distractions can be a good thing for opponents.

But although I dislike him, Brady is a pro and has weathered many...

I was wrong. It’s Eagles vs Tampa Bay.

Gotta beat Brady.

"Too much cat for me."

Yeah likewise

Although I would love a (much smaller, but still big for a cat) Maine Coone.

Great, mellow personalities, as well as a nice to look at cat.

They seem almost like a cat/dog hybrid in a way.

Kind of rooting for the Raiders in this one, not really sure why.

A team that´s had ups and downs this year in the technical/execution sense, but seems to have some heart.

I’m not sure about Jalen Hurts either.

Like You say the Eagles running game and O line is killer.

Defense is pretty good too.

They at least have to beat the Cowboys.

Ben probably didn’t think the Jags would beat the Colts. I didn’t.

I better not jinx anything . The Raiders and Chargers are playing now. If they tie the Steelers aren’t in.

Unlikely. I think it’s 14-10 Charges at the moment.

It’s a rainy, chilly day. A good day for being cozy with cats.

I was checking out pictures of the Savannah breed. A cross between a serval and a domestic cat.

Too much cat for me.

"I would think Ben wants to be in the playoffs."

That victory lap after his last game at Heinz Field kinda said "I´m ready to ride off into the sunset" to me.

But who knows. These guys have a competitive fire that can be hard to put out.

"I have low expectations for the Steelers"

Same for me with the Eagles. I just don´t think Jalen Hurts is the answer at QB. These running quarterbacks never seem to be, even though they have been continuously touted as "the future" for the past 20 years or so.

I do admire their commitment to the run however. That could possibly get them through 2 playoff games...although my more realistic side is still thinking "one and done."

Tuesie was cozy.

She likes Sunday football. She curls up on the couch next to me.

It’s cool to have both the Steelers and Eagles in the playoffs.

I have low expectations for the Steelers. They play The Chiefs in Kansas City.

Eagles play the Cowboys. At Dallas I think.

It’s all down to Tuesday magic.

I don’t have a tv either. Steelers, Eagles and Phillies is the only tv I watch. Everything else is YouTube or Amazon.

I would think Ben wants to be in the playoffs.
The Steelers offensive line is awful. It’s making Ben look worse than he is.

It’s going to be weird next year after 18 years of Big Ben.

Damn I miss playoff (or pre-playoff) football! (still not plugging the cable back in tho.)

I´ve been following the different playoff scenarios this year however, and can´t believe all that crap actually happened.

It must have been Tuesday´s intimidating gaze...

My question is tho... Does Roethlisberger even WANT to be in the playoffs...?

He seems like he´s ready --and quite content with the idea--of being done.

Watching football.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who had won 2 games this season, had to beat the Indianapolis Colts , and the Pittsburgh Steelers had to beat the Baltimore Ravens in order for the Steelers to make the playoffs.

Both of these happened and it’s all due to Tuesie in a Terrible Towel. The Terrible Towel is the Pittsburgh Steelers talisman.

I had to bring out the big luck.

Now the Raiders, Chargers game can’t end in a tie.

Indeed I loved the look of those models! So much better than CGI. But you can do other things... And at least in CGI, there´s virtually real interaction with light and the models (planes). :2:

"That´s what it comes down to :61:"

It´s iconic. :61:

I bet everyone who saw that movie remembers where they were and who they were with when they saw that scene.

Like everything else in life, sometimes it´s just the simple things. :4:
