I also agree with you on Red - really dislike anything Red but the strange thing is I am Aries Asc. Have no red anything.

Other than that, I am an earth colors girl for home decor with splashes of my beloved Magenta and Turquoise accents etc.

Not exactly sure how any of those color preferences fit my chart...but there they are anyhow :-)

In my case, I don´t really have that ´sense of purpose´ nudge you to speak of for people with Moon in 10th. Sure I like to achieve things but it did not define me. That, along with my not being able to internalize feelings if I tried and not giving an iota of recognition/status...the bulk of Moon in 10th/Moon Cap remains a mystery to me.

However, I found an interesting take on Moon in Cap (or Moon in 10th) regarding what it may signify the native could have experienced with their mother. This does ring true for me - I wonder if the other Moon in 10th and/or Cap feel the same?

I mean prior to that I had a bizarre Pluto conjunct Venus (which was sometimes fun at least) - but after that since 2104 a complete ´shit show´...massive frustration and heartache with the same damn things playing out over and over again.

It is weird so many people with Capricorn placements are talking about it now, maybe (knock wood) it is because we are coming up for air finally...

As a current victim of Pluto transit Moon (previously MC and previously Venus - but in the 10th, not 1st), I am with the view that Cap and Pluto FRUSTRATE each other and lead to nowhere. In another post, it was mentioned that perhaps all that comes out of Pluto Transit moon in Cap was suffering.

For me a repeating cycle of trying, being smashed to bits, trying again. I think I am on my 10th repeat. No kidding...

Nice to hear others´ views on this Pluto transit Cap mess for those of us with placements there...

MagentaP » ElsaX Yup, same problem. I have moon in the 10th conjunct MC in Capricorn. None of it manifests for me.

None of the main descriptors of moon in the 10th match me either. I could not internalize feeings is I tried and I could care less about ´professional achievement´ or ´professional prestige´. God, I certainly don´t want to be publicly recognized. Indeed, I want to be anonymous (both career and personally - but people remember me all the damn time). Again 180 degrees from the descriptors out there.

And in my case that is especially confusing since my moon conjuncts my MC where they say that the ´prestige-achievement´ thing in a profession or public is even more important. Again, definitely not in my case.

In addition, my 10th house is in Capricorn - which Astrology writers note would make me even more career oriented. Again, not True in my case. I have posted previously about not feeling very Capricorn (not my moon, not my MC, not my Venus - all not very Capricorn). Indeed, I just had a discussion on these boards as to why that may be and it was commented that perhaps a weakened Saturn was the cause.

Now, if you eliminate all that career mumbo jumbo maybe some of the descriptors apply. One astrology writer notes: "Moon in the 10th people usually put 110 percent of their energy in anything they do". So, yes - something I can relate to. In my mind ´anything´ means, anything - not just career but hobbies and any other thing. True, I put 110% into anything I take an interest in doing.

In summary, for me, my entire 10th house is a bit of a mystery. I don´t feel Capricorn (despite having 3 placements there) and I don´t care about prestige-achievement in a career (despite having my moon in the 10th and conjunct my MC).

I guess those of us that just don´t feel like the descriptors in a sign, planet, house or placement have to look to aspects which may be weakening those traits.

Pluto transit conjunct my moon has ´kicked my butt´ and I had thought I had control of Pluto - he already transited my sun sign, my moon sign and by conjunction all my personal planets and more. This last conjunction continues to be no fun at all...

Yeah, even as a Sag I have not read much about what you mention re: Sag goes sour. I have to read more on it so maybe I can learn more about my reactions in bad situations. In my case, when I go sour it is all about beating myself up (not others). But you are spot on about that blossoming ´worst case scenario´ thingy - I have to keep it in balance. But this same damn thing that keeps happening to crush my spirits. So far I keep getting up, but geez...

MagentaP » FOWL LOL...I knew you were basing your thoughts on Sag from some close contact experiences (we meet on the Sag Mercury post)! I have always felt pretty much very Sag. - except I think this last Pluto transit to my Cap moon is sucking any remaining Sag ´happy-go-luckiness right out of me. Although, that would be weird since I claim to not even feel my Cap moon. Hmmm...have to rethink that one. Love your recall with your Sag friend! So interesting to hear firsthand aspects of signs we are/know! Thanks a bunch again!!!

Love the idea of the sextile softening Cap moon too! I had no idea of Sag getting carried away with negative emotions. I mean I beat myself up a lot (prob another influence), but yeah I don´t get carried away with neg. emotions. Thanks a bunch again! You´re a peach!

MagentaP » stigmí I thought you meant that regarding ´correct´ - just wanted to check. As for me and my Cap Moon - I suppress nothing and have no interest in as you phrase it "higher purpose, traditions, or authority". In terms of shielding someone´s feelings - only in a very white (light) lie (ie. like if I decide not to come to visit - I come up with a soft excuse so as not to hurt someone´s feelings). I would never ´white lie´ about anything important - my Sag influence takes over and I am brutally honest ...I call it like I see it and then I say it.

However, note FOWL´s comment on Capricorn placements within a chart. Namely, it is best to look at the whole chart´s interactions with ´Capricorn´. He notes, my Capricorn has been weakened and maybe that is why I don´t feel very ´Cappy´. Indeed, I feel like I have almost no Capricorn traits except that I am responsible, independent, and a good worker. All that other suppression/tradition stuff is 180 degrees from who I am.

I have expressed this not feeling Capricorn in previous posts, but your analysis is the first that I could really see the possible suppression of Capricorn/Saturn in my chart. I just keep reading everyone´s description of Capricorn and god - that is not me (I am not even close to ´traditionally´ minded and no way can I keep thoughts in and feelings suppressed - impossible!).

It all sounds good, except the exalted Jupiter - mine is in Leo (not Cancer) - but Jup likes Leo too - right? ...so I am going with it!

Or, correct as in following correct traditions? Any which way - non apply to this cap moon who does not feel very Cappy...despite having 3 placement there - wierd.

MagentaP » FOWL It was many moons ago...and, well, revealing that could kill the the cloak and dagger routine here on this Astrology Forum... :-). All I remember is that it took forever to drive to Kapuskasing - I think there was oddly an isolated ice-cream joint in the wilderness somewhere mid-point on that road - or maybe I am remembering some other long drive. All the pine trees, after pine trees are etched into my memory though...

MagentaP » Zaza34 My answer is not in astrology. I know what you are speaking of - I experienced it with my mother. I moved 3,500 miles away to another country from my family or origin in my 20s.

It was only 20 years later that I discovered ´Emotional unstable personality disorder´ - also called Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I think the first descriptor more accurately describes the syndrome to which my mother´s behaviour to her daughter fit perfectly. It is a love/hate syndrome and it is intense to be on the receiving end of that. I was for 39 years.

Please look at the following website, read some of the stories, see if this fits your situation.

If it does, you will likely be relieved you are not the only one this is happening to. I thought I was the only one. That nobody else had that relationship with their mother.

Maybe someone here has the astrological signature for BPD, but in the meantime please look at that site and read the stories (I wrote a few so many years ago).

I can´t explain it, but I feel the same way. I do not feel my Capricorn moon. I too am looking for reasons - it is OOB (out of bounds) - but it seems others with OOB moon still feel their moon. We were born a lifetime apart and you are still getting to know yourself, but anecdotally we were both born in the second week of December in NYC (maybe it is a moon dead zone month/week in NYC ). In my search to figure out why I do not feel a Capricorn moon (or Cap venus or MC) I tested different charts. In the Heliocentric Chart my moon is in Gemini. A Gemini moon is a much better descriptor for me. Can I ask, which moon sign do you feel best describes you? When I click your Heliocentric chart, your moon is also in Gemini. Let´s compare notes, do you feel a Gemini moon at all?
