Transit Astrology: SOLAR RETURN POINTS
Sun Sign - LeoTJShemaly » ReaDea
Yes solar returns, as far as I know, is always about SR houses and angles impact on natal houses and angles. And yes, everything is possible with partnerships concerning 7H (and this could be good or bad anyway) and possibly aspects from SR planets would aid in judging how auspicious the connection is (or not).
I would personally stick to the classical planets as much as possible + the nodes. They say in solar return charts, the flavor of the year is judged by the SR asc and SR sun, and the SR lord of them both.
Maybe you can also assess what you think you see in SR chart by checking progressions

Transit Astrology: SOLAR RETURN POINTS

It would be somewhat clearer sometimes to use the Whole Sign house system. Anyway, in addition to the solar return, try to check the profections and see which house and planet would be activated (or has more weight) in the year under study, and try to see that through the solar return chart (aspects to and from the lord of the year and planets activated in the house of the year etc).
If we consider MC representing the 10H and DC representing the 7H, and SR 10H comes over natal 7H, this makes me think of some development regarding work or obligations to others, involving dealing with some new people into your life maybe. This is one possibility I can think of.

Transit Astrology: Orbis of transit planets

good start.
But remember, it might not all fit in as well (i.e. maybe rectifying for graduation won´t be quite good-looking PD or SP chart for the day of first job and vice versa) - so as I said before, it will be all based on approximations and testing

best of luck!

Typically, I would rectify to the date of marriage or the date of first job as in my case, but here also it is all an approximation so it is a trial-and-error thing.

For example, I rectified my own TOB using Astro-Seek rectification tool (primary directions) and I used the date of getting my first (and only) job (August 3rd 2005). The closest I could get with primary directions is August 2nd, and it settled my TOB at 1.30.40. The aspect I was rectifying to is Sun :192: MC; Why? Because typically they say the sun shines on the issues of the opposite house (or as they say sometimes, looks into) and in fact the time of 1.30.40 is not far off from the reported time (kind of) but it makes lot of difference in divisional charts because such charts are quite sensitive to time.

However, when I recently checked that in Secondary Progressions, and at 1.30.40 I´ve found out that the Sun is indeed opposing MC but with about 2.something degrees orb.
So, I started changing my TOB to make the sun perfectly opposing MC in secondary progression, and the time came out as 1.23.10 (about 7 minutes difference).

Now, in natal chart, the difference is not quite significant. However, in D9 (or Navamsha) chart, the ascendant changed dramatically and that changes the whole analysis. In first time it was Leo ascendant, and in 2nd timing it becomes Cancer ascendant (all in tropical).

So, at the moment I´m still sticking to the first time I rectified to, and doing some tests on the 2nd time of rectification to see which one would yield better results. In Hellenistic practices though, 7 minutes of difference doesn´t make much impact, but in divisional charts (or Harmonics as they are called in western astrology) can be quite different.

Thus, if you are going to rectify, bear in mind that it is all an approximation and even there, an orb is supposedly allowed; But to what extent? I´m not sure. I usually confine the orb in secondary progressions between 2-3 degrees.

An Astrological investigator has pointed out consistent themes for the recent Transitting :199: lower :194:ing the :180: :160: of up to ten degrees in effect that wasn´t very long ago at all! Even the Rosicrucians would say that that is taking orb to the absolute limit!

Could very well be.
I´ve recently rectified some time of birth for some family members based on their date of marriage using secondary progression. Seems to give good results I guess. Not sure if it is accurate and not saying it´s sharp, but it´s good so far when I used the rectified time in other techniques and divisional charts - things to be set in place.

to my experience and to what i hear from other astrologers, there is really no fixed value but it all depends on what the astrologer sees; That is a professional astrologer who examined many many charts. So, like one astrologer might consider an orb of 3 degrees another one would consider even 5 degrees (and this is also applicable to planet combustion too).

Also, in my readings about some techniques, like solar arc and secondary progressions, astrologers usually recommend tight orb, like even 2 degrees or 1 degree in such techniques.

So, maybe in time you would figure out the orb that fits your own readings for charts and transits. For me, I typically don´t like to exceed an orb of 3 degrees, and when I work with secondary progressions or solar arc, I even use 2 or 1 even (and i turn off the minor aspects too)

You had your episodes means your done with it? I think it could be beneficial! There is nothing weird about it, to me the people who don’t meditate are the weird one. 😂😝

It was weird for sure. That´s probably when Neptune´s influence started making itself clearer to me. If I´m being honest, my entire life feels like one big Neptune aspect at times. Having it sit so close to the descendant in natal makes it like a sort of constant background presence.

Like others above me, I´ll have to say Saturn aswell. Saturn is the "heavy" planet after all, it deals with most of the serious, heavy stuff in life we don´t usually like dealing with (responsibility, limitations, harsh lessons, time and death, etc.). Neptune´s themes are usually a bit more subtle. You should not, however, ignore it completely either. Neptune is the silent killer that sometimes you don´t even notice until it´s too late.

Hmm ya that square definitely has some effect but I also think you were feeling Saturn transiting your Ascendant (start of december) thats a big transit. Every slow planets transiting Asc, Ic, Dsc or Mc is to be taken seriously!

Saturn is not the most social planet, and even tho it use to be Aquarian ruler I dont think its his best place to be, it has mich more of a capricornian energy and it would definitely supress your socia gemini in my opinion!

It really depends, more often than not I would say Saturn. However, when we´re talking about a Square vs a Trine by transit, the square is more strongly felt because it is uncomfortable and full of tension. Because of this, the Neptune square can cause some accidents, deceitfulness, and dissolving in your life in a way that may not be fully realized until a good while after the aspect has passed.

Definitely Saturn, for it is a rude planet, the great teacher, strict and structured, while neptune not only is not visible to the eye, but is a gaz planets, known for illusions, dreams and spirituality so harder to grasp.

Some will say that it depend on the placement and your chart also, but overall saturn has very powerful transit.

Well, I see your mercury is in the 5th house (house of skills) - whole sign system here. Also it is in its own home, Gemini, and conjunct Venus. You got artistic skills? or maybe skills in caring and nourishment?

I see. Hopefully better luck next time. I see that there is Mars and Rahu in the 2nd house so I´m not sure how good or bad are they, specially in a dreamy sign like Pisces. Anyway, hopefully not all is lost and better chances are coming along
