Sidereal, whole sign.

Uranus and Mercury in Capricorn MC is excellent position for scientific engagement in things related to Earth (Capricorn, as the earth sign of III level is actually all abut geography, society, demography).

Since both are also making biquintiles (5th harmonic) to 5th house Mars, that is ruling your AC, that way you´ll be able to get a lot of self-esteem and to develop at personal level. Strong Mars is strong you (AC ruler).

Mercury is also the ruler of your 3rd house Fortuna (inevitable destiny) which is connected to information flaw, movement and action so, with additional 9th house Sag Sun it is very likely that you´ll end up as a professor/lecturer too.

If you go working now, where would you start looking?

For the PhD. the problem with geology is that there is no information about the influence of the sun on earths geology. See electric universe posts here on the forum from me.

The other way is more mathematics and statistics. Here you can say people clump together with similar intelligence and the cities always have the highest level of intelligence because of speciality but also loans are granted in bigs cities. Money is made there literally by banks giving out loans to ideas they seem to like since they need to asses their risk versus returns on investment.

I´d look what Andrew Hall explained about geology and see if you are more revolutionary or into social sciences, graphs and connections.

It seems like choosing between earth and air. Being practical or social?

Best of luck with that.
I´m actually a physics graduate or majoring physics but with a minor in geology. I like geology but the "fossils" in that department here made me hate it hehe - anyway that was long time ago.

From the description of the courses you stated, it is not very different from the one we have here and in fact just recently (I think after my graduation in 2005) they renamed the geology department here to (Environmental Sciences) so it includes most of what you´ve said about the courses. From what I gathered, here at least, it seems that GIS and hydrology have some good prospect in the future. Of course, most people here get into geological studied to get a job in the oil sector after graduation.

Good luck with the finances, hope things get sorted out before October :)

No worries for the late answer :)

Okay, so I guess you´re living in a an apartment-share ? You usually work next to your studies ? If yes, I suppose it´s just enough to pay bills indeed ...

Well, it also depends on if you already have some savings and the costs of this PhD ...

Firstable, if you know the costs, I´d look at the PhD schedule and see how much time I have to work on my thesis each week and then depending on the free time you have, how much you can earn weekly/monthly etc. etc. This is the practical point of view.

Now the 2nd thing you can do to "measure the financial risks" is to look at your transits and 2ndary progression but I´m really not a specialist to look at the aspects regarding money in a natal chart lol so I can´t tell you exactly what you should look at. I advice you to create another thread in the forum asking about the transits to look at regarding money.

Just remember that astrology only represents tendencies, nothing is "irrevocable" of course :1:.

I suggest to think it through - til Mercury and Venus retrograde are over.

My minor was Geology by the way - well, my mind is wiped out by now unfortunately, but yeah, sometimes it´s hard to draw a hard line between Geography and Geology, but I guess geology often gets deep into features and chemical compounds and all that stuff - Geography seems more on the human sciences side i guess, with a touch of geology to it probably?

It looks like a no go my friend, combust 1st ruler in horary chart, no aspect to the 9th which rules courses.

In your chart I notice your mercury cnj Uranus gives something of a genius, you must be very clever to have that conjunction.

So what was your master? I don´t get what you mean to accomplish with a PhD.? Is it a social thing? Or is it more engineering? Pisces Moon is interested in good vibes I´d say, they can be quite unpredictable however and needy.

Just a grab because you have a lot of aspects to your moon so it seems as a center on a first glance:

Square- Moon Square Jupiter (1°57’, Separating)
This aspect causes constantly increasing needs – for emotions, care and comfort. These people are introverts who seek intense religious life. They are very dependent on external conditions and they need to find their purpose of life.

So I was wondering what exactly are you looking to get from those studies? I have Venus in 9th so I like to study. You have Venus square Mars. Mars in the 5th house, Venus in 7th. All these houses show something social but there are difficulties.

Check every 3rd house:
3H: Starting education/Basic education
5H: Highschool and around that.
7H: Around college time.
9H: Post-Bachelor.
11H: Post-PhD.

At least this is how I understood it from some Vedic videos (long time ago actually)

Hi :)!

I´m not sure to understand your question.

You´d like to know how much probability you have to be accepted to the PhD program in geosciences in your university ?

Idk where you study but in my country there are no selections. You "only" need haha a BSc and MSc degree and then you can enroll a PhD program in the science department.

I´ve studied quite a few things. When young and in my twenties, I studied and practiced wilderness skills. Everything from how to make fire without matches to knowing the edible wild plants in the area, to making ´brain-tan´ leather (also know as Indian Tanning.. the resulting leather is very soft like flannel). I also did Quillwork (North American Indian craft.. similar to and proceeding beadwork) and sold this for a few years. Later I studied Astronomy but just as a hobby, had a Dobsonian Telescope.

Nothing prevented me from studying all kinds of things (sometimes even had friends, as an adult, interested in similar things). Never did match anything up with a career or much money. (Quillwork is very labor intensive.. not much money there)

Thanks for the encouragement. The only time I have regretted the life path I took with all its adventure and diversity is NOW! The economy is so far different from when I was younger. I once was always able to get by with part-time work and have time for ´hobbies´ but that is not possible now. I cannot afford a ´decent´ place to live and do not have good neighbors!

"I´m very fascinated with your rocks collection. I love rocks and minerals also."

Do you collect anything, do you have anything local? I am never without jewelry and a few ´rocks´ in my pockets. I appreciate the healing properties that many of them have as well. I have a Stromatolite fossil that is very calming to hold and helps with ´grounding´.. keeps my nervous system settled.

We have Astro-Cartography available for when we need it here at Astro-Seek.
I have seen Astro-Locality elsewhere on the Internet; "One" free world map!
There is a theory that longitude zero through thirty correspond to the sign of :171: and once you accept that there are 330 dg. to go!

I have an interest in Geography and a long fascination with maps. I once lived in Boulder Colorado, and wondered if the rock formation there called the ´flatirons´ had anything to do with all the wonderful (criticize this if you want to) energy there. It is a pretty potent area. I am more interested in the natural science area but love different cultures, wish I was good at learning languages. I have an interest in Astronomy as well.

I have Neptune in my 9th house square Jupiter in 6th. Jupiter and Mercury are exactly semi-sextile. Mercury opposses NorthNode in Sagitariuus in 11th house (which is conjuct Galactic Center). I don´t know if any of this has anything to do with it. I have never thought about it. I also have Saturn in Scorpio oppossed Venus in Taurus on my vertical axis. I have a mild interest in Geology and a great love of rocks. Plain rocks, expensive rocks, all rocks. Currently Secondary progressed Jupiter square natal Venus has increased this and brought many rocks into my home. One of the most expensive is a Charoite sphere with Tinkasite and Aegerine (from Russian, 1 and 1/4 inch across). Most are not gemstone quality. I have a few fossils, and Amber along with the rocks. And I pick up things when I walk in natural areas. I found a little piece of quartz that has a mild lavender tint. Don´t know what mineral causes this. My Moon is in Virgo. I love the plants too.

I was pushed away from Science in grade school by the other girls and was redirected into smoking pot and listening to heavy metal music. Straight As in Science and Algebra, being smart was only cool with teachers.

I do understand that you ask about by the science of geography by itself, not as a career indicated in the natal chart.
If that´s the case, I guess Saturn is the right one. It rules an Earth sign (Capricorn, like Venus -Taurus- and Mercury -Virgo-), it has to do with solid things, with limits by itself, etc. In fact, it seems to be the ruler of material forms in general.

Geography as in, the study of earth and all of its places and the mountains, rivers, etc in each place (country) as well as capital cities and other notable towns and cities?

I think my sun and pluto being in 9th, as well as mercury/venus sag helps me to be fascinated by maps.
