"Ideas are more powerful than guns. We wouldn´t let our enemies have guns. Why would we let them have ideas?"

Joseph Stalin

Idiot stooge or not...

Ominous.

It sounds like something a movie villain would say in a darkened room to his closest henchman/advisors...

The kind of line that makes you almost laugh when you think of the magnitude of perversity in it...

Unfortunately, it´s not from a movie...

Yeah, ..I get what You’re saying LotusStar. Too much tolerance isn’t good.

It’s all a matter of degree……What kind of situation we’re talking about.

Cannibalism isn’t a valid lifestyle choice in my view. I’d say it’s generally a bad thing. I don’t tolerate it.

Tolerance is all about nuance. What’s bad depends on the situation. We can’t fight against every little annoying thing other people do.

Let’s Say there’s a woman…and she’s really mad that her husband is always leaving the toilet seat up.

Day after day she tells him to put the toilet seat down as a courtesy to her.

Time after time he just keeps leaving it up.

Other people can be annoying. That’s where tolerance comes into play.

After months…maybe years of telling him to “Put the seat down”…..she kills him and gives the corpse to her cannibal friend.

Tolerance depends on the situation. See…… She tolerates her cannibal friend.

I’ve been watching too many clips of Norm Macdonald on YouTube.

RIP Norm.

"tolerance" is not a virtue, if it means tolerating something bad or destructive

So very true. I´ll add some from the past... they may very well be our future.

"Ideas are more powerful than guns. We wouldn´t let our enemies have guns. Why would we let them have ideas?"

Joseph Stalin

"The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of a million is a statistic"

Joseph Stalin

"The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything"

Joseph Stalin

I personally think Stalin was an idiot stooge. A character played on the stage much like George W Bush.

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it´s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. How do you tell an anti-communist? Someone who understands Marx and Lenin"

Ronald Regan

"Keep people from their history and they´re easily controlled"

Karl Marx.

The last I find quite fitting regarding the whole BLM movement and managing to convince an entire populace of indeginous persons that they were kidnapped from another continent.

"At no time in history have the people forcing others into compliance ever been the good guys..."

Matt Couch

Ain’t that the truth!

Forcing people is the antithesis of Zen and Taoism.
A big part of why I find them so appealing.

"Indeed, vaccines are not what is needed in order to fight against diseases. What is urgently needed are VITAMINS, good nourishment, pure water, and sun.

It is necessary to defend the organism; any organism is immune when it develops wonderful organic defenses. Let the immune system be fortified, this way vaccines will become worthless, that is all."

"This is the real secret of life — to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now.
And instead of calling it work, realize it is play."

Neptune likes escaping from reality, which can be a real problem.

However, a glimmer of hope exists for the Neptunian person when they realize that "reality" is not neccesarily reality...

I´ve always liked seeing it too, but never formulated the words in my mind to go along with the feeling...

The first time I heard George Carlin say it, I was like, "oh yeah, right...I know exactly what he´s talking about!“

The excellent documentary film maker Al Maysles
said it but I couldn’t agree more.

I had been thinking quite a bit about the lack of nuance in today’s world.

Discernment requires nuance.

Understanding the nuance of a situation requires time, knowledge and wisdom.

When I was younger I didn’t appreciate this. I was brash, rash and quick to judge.

So I have achieved one tiny sliver of wisdom.

You are so right regarding the Covid situation. Politicians, corporate media, many individuals, do not consider the complexities of anything.

Too many contradictions, hypocrisies, disjointed thoughts, words and actions.

Literally and symbolically the treatment is worse than the disease.

"It´s a magical thing, the guitar. It allows you to be the whole band in one, to play rhythm and melody, sing over the top. And as an instrument for solos, you can bend notes, draw emotional content out of tiny movements, vibratos and tonal things which even a piano can´t do."

Wait...I thought if you DON´T wear a mask and DON´T get vaccinated against covid you ARE a murderer and a menace to society...

You´re saying there is room for "nuance" on this subject?

That´s not what Biden and the media say... :63:
