Sign points in Dominant planets
Hello! I have trouble understanding how Signs get points in the Dominant planets calculator of the birth chart.

Rulership, Exaltation, Fall and Detriment I get, but how are Neutral, Friendly and Hostile determined? They respectively get:

Rulership 6 points
Exaltation 5 points
Friendly 4 points
Neutral 3 points
Hostile 2 points
Fall 1 points
Detriment o points

Is there any source where I can get more info about Neutral, Hostile and Friendly relationship of planets with signs?

Thank you :152:

This is really a good question. I have no idea what criteria AstroSeek uses. My bet is they are looking at soft aspects for friendly, and hard aspects for hostile. Mercury is considered a neutral planet, but I have no idea what else they consider neutral. Venus and Jupiter are considered friendly. Saturn and Mars hostile. I suppose they see what sign and house they are placed and what aspects they have to determine the level of friendly, neutral or hostile. Maybe they even consider stuff like a planet being on an angle, as it becomes very strong on an angle. There are many other possible reasons.

Personally, I don´t like this language and would not ever use it in a professional reading. I don´t think it is helpful at all. Thinking that some planets are hostile and some are nice - along with Dignity, Exaltation, Fall and Detriment - comes out of Medieval astrology and for some reason, some people are keeping the ideas and language alive. This is not really a modern approach.

The majority of positions are `close´ to neutral; Peregrine is slightly negative.
As :153: is in detriment/Fall at the same time in :182:, negative points could apply in that case if you want some folks to walk out of the casino penniless!
100% and A++E.E. instead of O% and F--.U.U. is how grades are given here!
