How long does Pluto stay in each sign?
HI All,

I´m curious how long Pluto stays in each sign. I didn´t find a simple number of years in the Astro Tools on this site.

It seems Pluto will be in Aquarius for 20 yrs (from 2024 to 2044). I´m not sure if this is correct. I found this on Google. During my quick search I realized that Pluto can stay a "short" time in sign while a long time in others.

Thx in adv!

Funny you should mention Taurus, and Pluto, as rightful owner due to the orbital path, with both being opposite signs to each other that´s a bit tricky on the readings.. Paralell would become contra-paralell,trines would be semi-squares.. Etc.

i was looking for Pluto in Taurus very recently, due to heliocentric chart showing that some charts i looked at now in scorpio is actually in taurus, but i´m still very undecided if it gets that sign due to the house its in the chart (from sun´s view) or because its actually in the sign.

Interesting theory to consider - If its in the sign, due to how much further into the past sun´s viewpoint is on the planets - pluto in taurus, wouldn´t that indicate earths distance to sun is way more than 8mins lapse in speedlight.. Not a scientist so not sure if possible sun´s viewing is "the future", or signs to come.

Maybe Aquarius and Cancer with Capricorn and Leo being intermediate speed for :160:

Interesting! I did notice that it moves slower through Scorpio vs Aries.

This should work:

Astro Tools > Returns on Particular X° Degree > Pluto returns 0° degree of EACH SIGN…=

and you can adjust the "From Year" to see other Pluto 240-year cycles :)

I looked it up for a thread that said "Pluto is ´NOT´ the ruler of Scorpio" because :160: while in Scorpio moves between the speed of :199: & :159: which means from :177: to :179: it is closer to the inner Solar System than the Kuiper Belt, most of the time :160: is a Kuiper Belt object and is moving more and more slowly as we speak here!
Pluto is sometimes parallel or contra-parallel a planet in another sign which means that it´s influence is more pervasive than can be confined to just one sign!

It varies, the orbits of planets are not all perfectly circular...

The closer to the sun a planet is, the more "round" it´s orbit, the farther out you go, orbits become more elliptical and pluto transits vary from ~8-25 years. Small outer planets (Uranus) have more elliptical orbits than large ones (Jupiter). Even though Jupiter is mostly gas, it´s still way closer to the sun than small, dense uranus or pluto. Distance makes a huge difference in the shape of their orbits.
