Is it normal to identify more with your rising sign more than your sun?
From what I´ve been reading they say the rising sign is the general impression you give off to others, while the sun sign is who you are at the core. While I identify with both, I feel like it works the other way around for me. Does anyone else have this experience?

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

To have reign over your signs instead of being ruled by them is pretty impressive. Some are harder to master I think, particularly fire.

MysticPizza might make a good burn account. If I decide a thread on here needs trolling I can become MysticPizza and talk crap without any of the negative blowback I´d get on my main :2:

I identify with all three to the point that it´s pretty egoic for me. From what I´ve been told, people see the :175: first, no matter what style of appearance I have at the time. I feel that there are infinite "me"s and that each one (or two) will kind of "slip into" the main me at any moment based on what I need. I feel that is a result of the :173: moon and :172: sun. I feel that both those signs have multiple natures. So really I would say that my "main" personality is very :175: on the surface, but underneath whatever you see there is always more. So yea, I don´t identify with one over the other, more like I see the harmonious mixture of them within. If that makes sense lol :80:

I can relate to that, my cardinal signs are equal parts fire and earth. Making decisions is a lot of fun, if I decide to play it safe I´ll have a degree of security but will feel restless for more. If I decide to be brave and take a chance in something, I´ll be plagued with anxiety as I enter into the unknown. If I decide to do absolutely nothing, I´ll be constantly dissatisfied until I choose a different course which ends me right back between the fist two options.

Awesome. I think you have it extreme because it is opposite, like my daughter but she has rising opp sun. Then there are also the divisions of which third (1/3, angle) you are in, say my daughter is 19/1 then she is almost Virgo Sun eventhough she is cappie, and her moon is near the end too but it is in Virgo so it will make her moon like a cappie moon?

That´s interesting. I noticed you have a couple 7s in your numerology section (16 reduces to a 7 in case you aren´t already familiar) I always thought air signs correlate well with the 7 since both are typically associated with intelligence.

I kinda feel this way. Taurus sun and Sagittarius rising. On one hand I constantly crave comfort and routine. On the other I thrive on change and want to be free. So, I feel both not one or the other. But it’s hard to get the two to really jive together. It’s definitely an uncomfortable feeling.

good point. Age and changes throughout the years that shape and refine a person´s character is another big factor that will affect which sign one will fall more into.

Excellent! I was thinking about that the whole time. To me it seems the Sun sign is similar to perhaps Super ego or the North Node..., it is generally who you are, you place on earth but it might be that because my Sun is in the 10th house that I feel that this way!

The rising sign might be part of the unconscious identity indeed :15:

That´s an interesting combo, sounds like the makings for a very colorful personality.

That´s pretty much how I am. When I was working I tended to hoard mostly everything into my savings so I could have the financial freedom to pursue a less conventional artsy bohemian lifestyle. Material things don´t interest me so much, but I am a planner and tend to be more on the conservative side like your typical cappie. The ambition and work ethic is there but it takes something worthwhile to activate it.

I agree, no one is just one thing.

I relate to my Cappie moon the most, my Virgo ASC more as I´ve gotten older, and my Sun sign doesn´t really feel all that fitting in general. There are aspects of my Sun sign that I can relate to, but in general no one would really guess I was a Gemini, in fact I had someone guess my sign once and she began with ´Well you´re definitely not a Gemini´.

I think in my experience I´ve grown out of the Leo A.C. in a lot of ways and gravitated towards the Sagittarius Sun, but obviously they work together in some fashion.

I have a Pisces ASC, too. It definitely colors how I go about this world. I tend to daydream often. An overall haziness. But I can’t say I feel it “more” than any of my other placements. I’m Gemini sun af. Waving my hands all over when I speak...to pretty much anyone...about nearly anything. :1:

it could be a case of me confusing the person I wish to be vs who I really am.

still a bit too black & white in your thinking here.. loosen it up a bit
and see if that doesn´t get you somewhere different.

What are your pisces qualities? What are your cappie ones?

Cappie ASC makes me a perfectionist, and serious minded, I like planning
But for whatever reason, I didn´t get the workaholic part, or the obsession with money. I know how to work hard but don´t like to unless I see a good reason to. And I can be the biggest fuck off ever when it comes to NOT doing something.. but what things I choose to do I never do half-assed..

So I only got a partial load of Cappie traits, not like the ones some people get. Also a bit of melancholy and sarcasm.

Maybe you ought to categorize the Cap vs the Pisces qualities within you, and then think about what situations they come to the fore in..

You may find in the end you are not your ASC or your Sun, but a true combination of both of them.

"I find it´s more an interplay"

I guess my interplay just sucks.

When I´m being my rising, it seems to betray my sun, and vice versa.

Figures... Quincunx relationship between Libra and Pisces. Nothing in common.

"So it could be a case of me confusing the person I wish to be vs who I really am."

Interesting take.

I´m a Pisces with Libra rising, and I try to wish away my Libra side sometimes...

Piscean flaws I can take... Libran ones I have alot more trouble with...

It depends. My understanding of it has evolved over the years.
I certainly value it. Keeps the cancer moon in check. A moon prone
to all sorts of excesses. It very much balances out something that needs
balancing. But that´s the positive side of an opposition, I think.
I don´t think you can escape any of the aspects in your chart so easily.
I also think it´s normal to bounce back & forth with what you identify with as a normal step in the process of understanding oneself. But who says it has to be either/or? I notice it´s good to downplay the cappie around children and play up the cancer side, and it´s better to play down the cancer side and play up the cappie side in more adult environments. In private I can choose whichever I please. Even Aries sun needs a dose of cappie realism, quite often. I find it´s more an interplay, and what I draw upon depends on the circumstances and the situation. Cap ASC tends to color my sun & vice versa. I think the most productive way to thing about it is as an interplay.. which tools in the toolbox do you want to take out and use this day for this situation..

Thanks for pointing that out. I´m new to astrology and am finding many differing views on things, it gets a little confusing at times.
