It´s strongly saddening to see you go, but I understand that sometimes life will pull people away to take care of certain events that I understand could be urgent.

ancient_astrology » ancient_astrology In September of 2018, Amdash´s Lot of Spirit released to Scorpio. This period will last until the end of June 2033 when Spirit will enter Sagitarius.

In this Scorpio period Amdash may struggle at times with life direction, due to the square with Saturn. However, he also has a square with Jupiter, so there will be possibilities and good times. There are periods during this time that Amdash must take advantage of in terms of life direction. One of these periods began a couple of months ago in December and will continue into December of 2020. At this time there is a sublevel square with Venus (square with Venus is good), and so this year is a good time to take some action in terms of career and life direction. Everything won´t be smooth because of that Saturn, but this year is a good time to make some decisions regarding life direction.

The good news is that in 2033 Amdash will have a level 1 square between Spirit and Venus and that will last 12 years. Venus is the main benefic in Amdash´s chart and that should be a very beautiful and fruitful time in terms of his career and life direction. I know that seems a long way off, but most people don´t reach the apex of their career until their 40s and this will indeed be a very, very, very good time for our dear friend Amdash. So keep struggling during this period now and good things await you in this regard.

We will look at health issues next and we should look at profections at some point to add detail.

ancient_astrology Now, I want to make something clear. We are not interested in the houses in Zodiacal Release. We are interested in

(1) The relationship of the released Lot of Spirit (the sign it is in) and the Lot of Fortune.

(2) The released Lot of Spirit and mostly the benefics (Jupiter and Venus) and the malefics (Saturn and Mars)

For that reason, I have rearranged the chart so that we see the lot of fortune where we would normally expect the first house. This is for reasons of clarity.

ancient_astrology » ancient_astrology So Amdash entered a major Scorpio period on September 16, 2018. This major period will last until June 29, 2033 when a Sagitarius period will begin.

Remember from what I said about that Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Mars has a planetary period of 15 years. This accounts roughly for the duration of this period.

Now the subperiods also last (in months)according to the planetary periods.

Amdash started a Sagitarius subperiod on December 10, 2019. It will go on for approximately 12 months because Jupiter rules Sagitarius and the planetary period for Jupiter is 12.

ancient_astrology So let´s see. Here is Amdash´s current planetay period. He has been in a Scorpio period since September 2018 and will be in this period until 2033. That´s because Mars which is ruler of Scorpio has a planetary period of 15 years.

ancient_astrology The other thing that you will have to fill in and know is whether you have a day chart or night chart. This is very important and in traditional astrology the Lot of Fortune and Lot of Spirit are calculated differently based on this information.

Basically a day chart means that you were born during the day. You were born after sunrise and before sunset. You can check you chart. If your sun is above the ASC-DSC axis, yours is a day chart. If your sun is below the ASC-DSC yours is a night chart.

Mr. Amdash has a night chart.

ancient_astrology Now astro-seek has in the traditional astrology calculator a tool to calculate Zodiacal Releasing. However, I´m going to be using this one because it´s a bit more visual. http://nataltransits.com/timelord.h…

The thing is if you want to see your own Zodiacal Releasing periods, you need to go to the bottom of that page. You will need to put in your birth data, then
where it reads Release from Spirit, you will need to put the sign where your lot of spirit was at birth. Since Amdash has the Lot of Spirit in Virgo at the time of birth you would put in Virgo there.

You also have to put where the Lot of Fortune was at the time of birth. Amdash had his Lot of Fortune in Capricorn at the time of birth.

ancient_astrology » ancient_astrology So the first thing to remember is the planetary periods. Remember:
Moon: 25 years

Mercury: 20 years

Venus: 8 years

Sun: 19 years

Mars: 15 years

Jupiter: 12 years

Saturn: 30 years in Aquarius ; 27 years in Capricorn

Now that we know that we can progress the Lot of Spirit and break up Amdash´s life into periods. Remember the Lot of Spirit shows career and general life direction.

At birth, Amdash´s Lot of Spirit is in Virgo. The ruler of Virgo is Mercury. And the planetary period for Mercury is 20 years. So the first 20 years (roughly) of Amdash´s life will be a Virgo/Mercury period. So roughly from 1991 to 2011.

After that the Lot of Spirit will move into Libra. Libra is ruled by Venus, which is an 8 year period. So roughly from 2011 to 2019, Amdash was in in this Libra/ Venus period. Then after that he moves into a Scorpio period. Scorpio is ruled by Mars. The planetary period for Mars is 15 years. So roughly from 2020-2035, he will be in this Scorpio period.

I will give more detailed dates for the above periods subsequently, but I hope you see how the Lot of Spirit progresses through the signs. You can practice using your own chart.

I will next begin to explain what all of this means.

You don´t need to to do this, but it makes it simpler.

In Zodiacal Releasing we are not interested in the houses per se. We are interested in the relation between the part of fortune and the part of spirit. And we are also interested in the relationship between the lot of spirit and the planets. Later on, we may also look at the relationship between the planets and fortune with the lot of eros.

Sorry, in this chart the glyph for the lot of spirt is the S with a circle around it.
