Pluto transit 4th house
Just began researching this transit. It deals with transformations in home life, family life, and other personal areas. Interestingly when pluto was in the first few degrees of my 4th house, I got divorced, only a few months after that I moved away from the home I had been at for 11 years (another year later sold the house) I moved again a couple of times. Then I began building a house, which now I think was the wrong time to do such a thing. Because now I think pluto is again asking me to move. I have lessened contact with my parents. Not sure exactly why, but it has happened. Possibly due to pluto in the 4th. We never had a really strong relation anyway, especially with my mother. Really alot of painful memories from childhood. It sure wasnt no Mayberry. (It could have been worse, but it could have been better kind of thing) My dad and I were and still are closer, but I think pluto is asking me to be more independent of them, even more than I already was.

Anyway, just thought it was pretty interesting and figured I´d share my experience which is uncannily accurate for a pluto 4th house transit.

Something else very interesting that happened was in April 2017, Saturn was on the verge of crossing into my 4th house also, before going retrograde. Shortly after that I began construction on my new house. Saturn brings form and structure to the house it inhabits. So I have these two seemingly opposing forces at work. An excerpt from an article on Saturn transit 4th house:

You might decide to move house or make changes to your living conditions. Where you live might not feel like home anymore – perhaps it’s too small, or you want to live in a different neighbourhood. Other possibilities include buying or inheriting land, building your own home or renovating, the death or loss of a parent, and the birth of a child. You may become more aware of your obligations to your family, or perhaps need to define your boundaries more clearly as an individual.

All of this is very interesting. Not sure if I have a question about all of this, just thought it was very interesting and wanted to share.

I´m sure that´s been a challenging transit. Probably feel a little like a chameleon in a box of crayons 😂

I can imagine what pluto feels like there, since I have it in natal 1st house. A powerful and challenging placement or transit I´m sure.

I suggest easy listening music 🤣

Yes, it´s hard when these "transformations" are directed at the self. And they seem so vague to me sometimes. Like, wth do you want from me planetoids????

Lol, yes, sounds about right. I started building a house shortly after Saturn went in to 4th, then, not long after, I almost gave up on it! Got sick of it after so much work and started to question if I was even doing the right thing. It´s a 3 br 2 bath, with option of a 3rd bathroom. Pretty big for one person.

Something I read was "dissatisfaction with house. Too small, or too big" I was like, whoa, that sounds accurate.

Finally got it finished (99% anyway) am finally enjoying it (somewhat, still feel kinda tied to it more than I´d like. But soooo glad the work part is over)

And Saturn has finally moved on to 5th house for me.

I did lose a parent in late 2019, so that was accurate as well.

I´m glad the move worked out good for you. Looks like a nice place away from the craziness, from the picture you posted of the lighthouse

In the Placidus house system which I use, in your 4th house is a lot going on. Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury are transiting your 4th house. I was just thinking, this must have an impact on your Moon, which rules the 10th house. That´s why I ask about your professional life.

"Sorry about what you´re going through with your mother. Sounds similar to my situation. Hope it gets worked out somehow."

Thanks, I´m no longer deceiving myself.

Hi,

Not sure what you mean by "transit." What you´re describing is my natal placement.

Sorry about what you´re going through with your mother. Sounds similar to my situation. Hope it gets worked out somehow.

I´m stuck on an extended transit of pluto and saturn of my enormous 1st house right now. At the moment most of the solar system is sitting in my first house.
On the positive side, it´s fixing a lot of things I was aware of most of my life and unhappy with, but that I was never able to fix on my own, no matter what I did. On the negative side, OUCH. And damn, my first house is SO big. It´s caused a lot of tumult and upheaval that I am not to happy to be living through at this age in my life, but.. whatcha gonna do? After this long transit, PL and SA move into my second house. Yay! Not. Having had every planet pass through my first house in conjunction with PL and SA has felt a lot like having all houses being transited simultaneously, at times. Grr. The stress, the pressure. Like living the worst years of one´s early life, all compressed into 16 years. It might be easier if the first house had some tangible, concrete, focal point like the 4th does with home matters. Having something as abstract as the "self" be reformed is a dense murky fog to walk through, for a lot of years in my case. Maybe the focal point of the house is more tangible to some, but for me, personally, it´s been a lot of work- on something that´s not directly visible from one day to the next, only over long periods of time. Like seeing an old house on some land, coming by years later and seeing it´s been torn down, then going away for years and coming back to see that a new house now stands where the old one did and that the whole neighborhood has changed.

Hi,

Your Moon, which rules the 10th house is in the 4th house. Does this transit affect your professional life?

Hello,

I´m glad you found it and can relate. I´ve been studying transits for not long. I started studying my own and seeing how they were playing out in my own life. It can be eerily accurate sometimes. I had a few planets travel through my 4th house recently. I didnt care for it much either! I´m sure it´s not all bad, and probably very necessary. It´s kinda like a low point it feels like. Which makes sense. It´s the lowest house on the wheel. Roots, etc.

It felt like it just crept by slowly, I´m almost out of it now. Interesting time :97:

We definitely have some similarities in our experiences during this transit...

I also distanced myself from my mom´s side of the family...I felt I had to at the time...although now I don´t know...

Also moved.

Before moving alot of stuff in our previous house shit the bed...Saturn was also in my 4th...

Home life has definitely improved since the move, I´d say.

It´s weird... Alot more physical space here in the new house, yet everyone is spending alot more time together...

Hi,

I was going to start a topic about Pluto transit through 4th house but I found your old comments. The division of houses in your chart is similar to mine. Pluto is also transiting my 4th house, which is in Capricorn. A lot has happend in my life since that transit started. But this is amazing how similar experience we have. First of all I became a mother. And of course this was the most transformative event in my life. I also decided to quit my job and accepted a new offer which was risky at that time. However, this decission was strongly consistent with Uranus in my second house. That way, we have paid off the mortage three times faster than we planned. But it was not all shine and roses. The last six years has been very intense...

A lot of good things happened over the years. But I guess I´d rather have this transit behind me.

More about Saturn transit 4th house

What was the topic of this thread again? :61:

https://www.leahwhitehorse.com/2013…

Saturn’s transit of the 4th house of the natal chart may be seem less dynamic that some of the other Saturn transits but often, in retrospect, it is seen that it marks an important turning point.

Things may feel cramped at home. Perhaps there are improvements that need to be made, broken things that need fixing or worn out items that need replacing. Your home may not feel big enough which necessitates clearing clutter. It’s possible that you may ‘down-size’ at this time to save on resources. Maybe you feel your home isn’t working for you and you want it to be more ‘functional’.

Sometimes this transit may indicate that your home feels like a burden; perhaps you are waiting to move but the market is slow. It may indicate having to take on more responsibility than usual, for example caring for an elderly parent or dealing with a sick relative. Domestic duties may increase.

Your home is your private retreat; the place where you should feel safe, secure and comfortable. Saturn passing through this area of your chart is rather like a feng shui expert exploring your home with an objective eye. Your home is a symbol of yourself and things that aren’t working there may represent aspects of yourself that have been neglected. Saturn will point out what needs to be fixed to help energy flow again.

On a deeper emotional level, the 4th house represents your private self. It is the house of belonging and where you feel rooted. It is your past history and shows what you need in order to function well in the outside world.

When Saturn passes through this house, you are entering a period of deep emotional re-structuring. Old issues may resurface if they haven’t already been dealt with. Past attachments that have outworn their welcome may resurface. Saturn helps to break down any conditioning that restricts you from being the person you want to be – and the person you would like others to see.

This period may feel like it passes slowly. Life may be quiet with less accent on career and socialising. Some people experience a sense of despondency or loneliness. Learning to like your own company can be a feature of this transit. In a way, Saturn could be said to be removing the distractions of the outer world in order to give you time to focus on the inner world and the work that needs to be done. Your inner sense of security and the ability to support yourself grows during this transit. Being responsible to yourself and for yourself is a key theme.

Saturn is encouraging you to do the ground-work. You are building a foundation for the future. If you want to change your career or start your own business, Saturn’s transit of the 4th offers you the perfect time to put your foot on the first rung of the ladder. By the end of this transit you should see that you have become stronger, wiser and that you are in a better place to achieve your goals than you were before.
