New website feature: Birth time allows seconds entry

I just implemented new option to enter precise birth time in seconds accuracy.

Maybe someone could use it for some astro experiments :)…

Yes, sure it does!!

I don´t know to what extent you want to implement it, but if you click on Current horoscopes: Moon transits, Profections, Solar return or Personal daily horoscope, then the seconds will not return.

The main problem is that the old Ascendant and MC come back.

Oh oh, I now understand what you meant, it seems like an endless prayer, as we say it here :63:

I´m gonna go with your saying: "do it yourself."
I like DIY. Sometimes.

Harmonic Twelve being partile should be one of the less obscure aspects, doing the harmonic charts here is simple and not esoteric at all!
Astrology should not be as difficult as it was in previous generations! :44: :62::30: :32:
There are a couple of ways of getting the harmonic five aspects, you have more creativity and power than you realise!

Petr that is very good new and thank you so much. I try to find out fixed stars affect in sidereal zodiac because tropical zodiac changes 1 degree each 72 years. My another recommendation is to send a file attachment like excel or word. I usually use Excel when i study on statistically , and i want to share it with people in forum. :1:

Hi Ilene,

I didn´t implement seconds into trasnit chart (I didn´t think it´s necessary in transit chart - or is it? :43:) ... but I see that seconds are lost when you click over various chart types (secondary -> transits -> back to solar arc etc...) ... so I will at least add the function to save those seconds when you click over various chart types :15:

(probably tomorrow)

No, it´s not on my priority todo list and I´m not good in writings to write it myself :41:, ... so I don´t think that minor aspects interpretations will be there in some near future.

I´ll be honest. I have no idea what you just said.

What I got from it though - and let me know if I´m reading too much into it - is that I should do it myself?

Hi Petr,

I checked most of it. :15:

So far I have a problem in the database.
If I open the birth chart in the Database and go straight to Secondary progressions or Transits + Progressions or the Solar Arc, it will hold the time in seconds.
But when I click on Transit Chart the seconds are gone and it will stay that way.

The Harmonic Charts which are all automatic now were once done with pen and paper by the Hindu Astrologers up to number seventeen or more!
2,4 & 8 give chores!
3 & 6, 5, 7 give talents
9 seems to be the one everyone else knows about!

:75: I am very glad to read this.

Because if an aspect has to fall within 1 degree, then every arc minute can make the difference. For me it makes a difference of 0.08 arc minutes on my MC and 0.05 minutes on my Ascendant. It´s also very important for birth correction.

Petr, I understand, that it was a lot of work, so I will try out all the features and let you know if it works. :15:

This is completely off topic but the question popped into my head now.

Is there progress on interpretations for minor aspects?

Asking for a friend.

2) Private database can also save seconds now:…

3) You can preset time of birth in seconds also in your "My profile" (My public profile) settings:…

and all further calculations of Natal chart, Secondary Progressions, Transits/Progressions & Solar Arc Directions will be using this time of birth with seconds accuracy :)

Let me know if everything works correctly and try also browsing in time.
I had to replace some functions manually on many places ... and I might have forgotten it somewhere... :32:
If you find some bug/glitch just let me know :)

Hi Petr,

I see there are many problems and reasons for not fully entering it.

But it would be great, if it is possible to add seconds also for "Transits and progressions" in "extended/advanced" setting.

Thank you for your clear explanation. :44:

Hi Ilene, yes I remeber.

there are actually two reasons.

1) Technical reason - it will be very time consuming to implement seconds precision across the entire website. I didn´t prepare calculations for seconds precision from the start ... so I will have to implement it progressively step by step into each calculation.
=> I will most probably implement it just to "Transits & progressions". As you wrote - the main use will be here and it shouldn´t be that time consuming to implement it into these two calculators.

2) User feeling reason - the majority of people don´t use seconds precision; they have no idea what to do with seconds precision and it would be just some other/strange field to enter "some more numbers" for them, so I don´t want to display this opton by default.

So first: I would like to think out some idea how to enable seconds precision; but to hide this option by default and enable it in "extended/advanced" settings only.
(= I´m dealing also with graphics settings and adjusting the graphics layout)

Thanks for report IIyyaarr13 :15:

There was a glitch in "Browse in time" module - planets were still calculated according to whole minutes (12 : 34 : 59 was considered as 12 : 34 : 00)

I didn´t noticed that before, before I checked just house cusps degrees and they were calculated according to seconds correctly. (there are two different calculations)

Both planets and house cusps should be calculated according to seconds now (in "Browse in time" module).

Hint: btw if you start to "Browse in time" while the "POSITIONS" TAB is activated:

=> browsing in time will also display this "Positions (Speculum)" table with seconds precision:

I go back a second (under browse) and my Moon moves a whole minute. :64:
This hasn´t happened with the Free Birth Chart Online Calculator! :63:
