Well, Dude I wasn´t but that is no guarantee - Leo Moon mentioned a show that I was curious about Oats and Garfunkel or the other way around. Another show about aspiring comics/musos but all its own.

This could be the first case of FOTC being used for nefarious purposes; I´ll have to report this to the Tough Bretts (Pomona Chapter). :4:

If we´re still talking about FOTC, it only ran for 2 seasons... First better than the second...

I´ll always have fond memories of that show...

After a few dates, I lured my future wife to my house under the guise of "watching TV" when I absolutely had other plans for the evening...FOTC is what we watched...for a while...

Since then "watching TV" has always been our code for something else :4:

"Time for more Spock in my view."

Normally I would have to agree...

But right now...maybe more Kirk is in order...?

We could use some "I don´t believe in a no-win scenario" type of thinking right now...

As well as some plain old Arian fire
...I think Shatner is a an Aries, but in this case, I´d say the actor and character definitely share the same sun...

What we definitely do NOT need right now is more McCoy...

I loved Winnie the Pooh. Adorable bugger. I liked when his cute pot belly got in the way, and got him stuck in a tree!

Piglet too! 🐖

That was a cool show but I don´t know if they did more than one season - maybe two. :15:

I´m abashed to say I couldn´t recall so had a look, here´s a site you might find interesting https://www.gradesaver.com/the-tao-…

short answer yes, although I still can´t recall. Apparently Hoff comes off as sexist - apparently - in the ´Te of Piglet´ so I didn´t read it.

"Tigger

According to Tigger, "Tiggers can do everything" and Tigger´s character is a demonstration of the foolishness of continually trying to do what one cannot do. Wise people know their own limitations but foolish people do not and Tigger definitely falls into the latter category. This gets him into a lot of trouble. It even makes him eat many meals he doesn´t like because he constantly claims that Tiggers love eating everything - and finds that they don´t."

Did Benjamin Hoff include Tigger?

He’s the character from Pooh stories I related to the most as a kid.

Perhaps that is my Leo Moon ......Tigger seems a total Leo to me.

Such wonderful stories Milne created.

I appreciate Your post because it inspired me to read about Milne’s life.

It was a full one.

Within each of us there is an Owl, a Rabbit, and Eeyore, and a Pooh. For too long, we have chosen the way of Owl and Rabbit. Now, like Eeyore, we complain about the results. But that accomplishes nothing. If we are smart, we will choose the way of Pooh. As if from far away, it calls us with the voice of a child´s mind. It may be hard to hear at times, but it is important just the same, because without it, we will never find our way through the forest.

That’s why these two used the name.

This... Garfunkel and Oates . Ricky Lindhome and Kate McCucci.

Oh...and Yes , George Carlin is a master of words.

His sharp, observational comedy has no equal.

Bill Hicks was good too, but he died young and didn’t reach his potential.

I love comedy and humor. That and music.

There is so much amazing comedy in the last hundred years.

Sharp witted humor like Carlin ,and absurdist, silliness are my favorite types.

It’s especially good when they are combined.

Monty Python’s movie “Life of Brian” is a good example of that.

I know Tom Lehrer well. I have a number of his albums.

He was very popular with my parents generation but is somewhat forgotten today.

Garfunkel and Oates carried on the Tom Lehrer legacy more recently. Not many musical comedians today.

He was good writer and good humanist ,he was also intellectual person. Always helped children and he was in love with nature , trees etc. I believe if someone loves children, animals, nature this person never harms anybody.

Or you can just let your Taurean side take over for a bit and not do it all :61:

Pretty much what I´m doing right now...

That´s a great one Promethean.

So true...

I´ve heard variations of that sentiment by several people, both known and unknown, but I never knew Tolstoy said it.
