I thought of that too! Of what happened to his family. Coz Trevor Noah emphasizes Magellan´s wife in his comedic narrative. This is new to me, thank you. 🙂

Yes me too. Even though we don´t know her personally. Inspiration really can cause a slight bit of attachment. Yes, she´s a writer type, she shared her work on a local newspaper one time. Unfortunately, we don´t have a copy even the internet doesn´t have it. It was about Apo Island Marine Sanctuary she and her team pioneered the rehabilitation of the sanctuary. The unsung heroes. This probably the reason why I´m assigned with the Sun in the 10th House and Saturn in the 10th House. Nutelina pointed this placement for me it´s one of the things I´ll be looking into.

That doesn´t surprise me at all hehe I don´t like wearing men´s jewelry and a wristwatch. I keep it in my pocket at times or just use my phone to keep the track of time. And there´s always the Sun. 😂 My Father insisted and bought me a watch, so I can organize and keep track of the time while I was taking a board exam. I passed. It now holds meaning that is the reason why I´m wearing it. 🙂 Now I can reply to any passers-by who asked me on "what time is it?". Hehe, I´m familiar with all these coz it was my childhood until the internet and computers commercialized. Hehe having Pisces and Scorpio placement is like, I want to be early on time, but I might feel out of place to be the only person at 6 am. I like the atmosphere at 4-5 am until I felt the warmth of the Sun, then I get inside 😂. If no one noticed this wake up early on Sunday at 4-5 am or on the 1st day of January you will feel a different kind of air. I just realized some countries experiencing negative degrees of temperatures, grab a hot drink and be at an open space, at the balcony, or on your rooftop be careful.

Haha, your family experiences seem familiar. It did not reflect on my father´s birth certificate about his time of birth. He´s an Aries Sun, Capricorn Moon. While my mother she´s Capricorn Sun, Libra Moon, and Virgo Ascendant. Because of that, we learned from a very young age to interact with our neighbors. Both of my parents go to work also 😂 but they come home at night and every Saturday and or Sunday my parents made sure that we will gather together enjoying the 3 main meals of the day together. A total of 8 members in the family. Both of them are really good cooks. My father´s mother is an owner and a cook at a local restaurant here. I was a kid I asked her one time while she´s cooking if she´s keeping a recipe. She said she cooks by her memory and intuition. She´s Virgo Sun Aquarius Moon while her husband Libra Sun and Moon I never met him, but named after him. Which made sense to me of my placement with my Father. I only learned about my birth chart in December last year. The pandemic helped us as a family to know each other again. There´s a reason why my parents and the first 3 siblings in the family are like that because of Chiron Opposite Uranus from 1950 to 1989. I am thankful that no one gave up to reach an understanding and acceptance. Thank you for (over)sharing Windinthetrees. 🙂 Hehe, this is food for thought with reflection, I even missed my breakfast!🍳

"The only mistake he did was when he joined the political conflict between the neighboring tribe."

Oh, so that is what happened. Well, two galaxies were named after him! Poor mans family, wife and child did not fair well after. If I remember his wife was put under ´house arrest´ for some reason. Real bad political stuff on that journey.

Your first two links did not work.

The western world is way too ´hygienic´, now we have anti-bacterial this, and anti-bacterial that. I make fermented milk...´kefir´ daily and drink it daily to help my digestion and health.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg!!! My hero! I have a photograph of her on the front door of my apartment!! No kidding! I loved the movie based on her and her breaking court case. I was so sad when she passed away, but she worked so hard her whole life, she deserved some rest.

Her photo on my door (and the photos of several other people) is one reason why everyone knows I support civil rights for everyone. If your mother is the writer type, yes, she should write a book, share her experiences.

And I sometimes wonder about all the newer generations who grow up with computers and internet. My mother grew up on a working farm, without electricity and running water. My grandfather actually used work horses for a time. Then she worked for an airline agency, met my father and they moved to a big city!! She was always a very practical women. And then I later lived without electricity and running water (by choice) for about seven years (rural mountainous area). Some of the happiest years of my life. I was outside almost all of the time. I did not even use a watch or clock!!! I am not kidding. I had one in case of some kind of appointment in town. I had a neighbor who let me use her phone, and when a friend came up, they would just say early afternoon or something. Once I went backpacking with friends and we were sitting around a campfire in the evening and after awhile someone checked their watch to see if it was time for bed!! I thought that was hilarious!

I did odd jobs, did not need much money, so might have to know what time to show up somewhere, but otherwise, I was not ruled by any clock. I think now one reason I lived that way, was for part of my education. I have a much greater understanding about many basic things that most people in the western world do not. I am concerned about children who do not get to play outside. My mother would cut the electric cord to the TV to make sure we could not watch it, to make us go outside! My father was working and she might need to go out to run errands. No TV for us until the cord was spliced together again. Once outside, we loved it of course.

Yes, I believed so too that Ferdinand Magellan is kind and he is a religious person. You need a lot of Faith to cross the Pacific and to be admired by his people and people from other countries. The only mistake he did was when he joined the political conflict between the neighboring tribe. That´s a lesson learned if we are in a foreign country. 😅

He called this body of water pacific, due to the calmness of the water at the time (´pacific´ means peaceful).…

The Philippines is an archipelago country imagine each island had different tribes. You know what that means, there is inevitable chaos. Religion binds us the tribe needs oneness. It wasn´t surprising that the Spaniards taught us only to use spoons and forks. Because knife we used it for combat 😂. Traditionally we eat with our hands.

Kamayan is a Tagalog word that translates to “by hand” and refers to the traditional Filipino style of eating—communally, and without plates or utensils.

Normal Flora is bacteria found on the palms and fingers that protect the skin and body from harmful microbes in the environment. Ingesting this helps keep several areas of the body healthy and improve digestion. Eating with the hands can also prevent over-eating. This is because when we tend to eat slower without a fork, which improves digestion.…

We have seen visible improvements now. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is one of the pioneers of raising this awareness. For sure there are lots of women and men before her who fought for this cause. Her case won with regards to tax inequality changed the field.

I´m thanking her coz my mother had given an equal opportunity to work on a special project in the government. Now she´s spending her retirement with her husband. I´ve been coaxing her to start writing a book. Hehe, I sent her a message last night. 😅 Baby Boomers should write their story coz in this generation where everyone is busy with technology will, later on, forget that we had a heart. We should be less reliant and start to connect with someone near to us because when we dream it´s not pixels or text or only ourselves we see. But a dream of real warmth and true happiness and not a complete illusion. Or else we don´t find the need to sleep anymore. This pandemic surely is a wake-up call for us to retreat and to reconnect within ourselves and others.

What a busy and fast life we have which gotten worst due to online classes starts late at 10 pm and ends at 2 am. We are becoming Vampires here. Asleep in the morning, awake in the evening. 😂

Thanks so much for these video links, they are great!! I wonder how high-school exchange students today would discuss such topics. They were all so mature and respectful.

What was most interesting is your last link. I laughed a lot of the way through. What a topic for high school students. Except for Japan, they were all so impassioned. I was mostly cheering for Finland, loved how she would hit the desk to emphasis her frustration. Yea, I think she might need to convince the boy who wants 5 marriages, maybe he would settle for just her.

Sorry for the corruption in your govt., don´t know where there isn´t corruption in govt. anymore (if ever?).

I know Ferdinand did not make it all the way around the world, but I believe his slave did, and the source I studied said Ferdinand freed his slave upon his death. Most of the sailors did not make it.

The sources I read indicate that Ferdinand Magellan was one of the kinder explorers. ´Portugeuse Man of War´. They had a reputation, he seemed to rise a little above that, but likely deserved his demise.

Watching how the kids from the ´colonizing´ nations seemed to think they were doing these other countries a favor, (helping them?) is saddening. They looked as if they believed it, were so indoctrinated. Authentic trade and knowledge exchange might have been beneficial for everyone, but all these countries would be make ´colonies´, possessions, not equal partners in some venture. Pretty much like the last video. Women under the rule of men, ´backward´ countries under the rule of the colonizing countries.

Thank you for the movie recommendation. Hehe yea I ve seen some of the episodes of First We Feast. And, I also apologize for my ancestors too coz they killed the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan at the Battle of Mactan island in 27, April 1521.…
Please lower the volume first coz the sound might scare your cat. You´ll find on the left the main island of Cebu and on the right the Mactan Island.

We just celebrated the 500th year of Christianity in the country. Filipinos at heart are faithful, so faithful that they can call for miracles to happen through prayers. Unfortunately corruption in the government is dire, once was the most progressive country in Southeast Asia is now behind the race.

These are old clips posted recently on YouTube of how it was back then. We can only look back in History with pride and joy.
And this boy is just being silly I think he likes the girl.

Hilarious!! I didn´t get a good look at his chart yet, but I like his humor.

As someone of primarily Dutch, German and English decent (bit of Irish, Italian and maybe Cherokee) I am embarrassed by the behavior of my ancestors, and by humans in general. By the way it was the Portuguese and Spanish ships that ´sailed around the world´ (captain Ferdanand (what the heck, I can´t spell his name, in spanish his name was Hernando) Magellan, the lead sailor looking for a better route to the spice islands, was Portuguese sailing under a Spain flag with subCaptians who where from Spain), and were going to divide the planet in two (the Royalty was), half for Spain and half for Portugal. About the only peoples on the planet who have led a sane peaceful life are the Bushman of the Kalihari. (Watch "And the Gods Must Be Crazy", but only the first movie, the sequels drag it down)

Lets have some more humor and some more spice on our food and what about the music!! I love Brazilian music, I believe there are lots of Portuguese there in Brazil. Maybe I´m wrong, I don´t know everything.

Lets have some spice!!
Not comedy but the second one is:……

I love watching good stand-up (if it is fairly clean), and rarely find a woman I think is really funny. Wanda Sykes has Sun, Mars, and Mercury in Pisces and a Capricorn Moon. Here is an old short clip.…

"Are these the people that can say the funniest things and never or barely crack a smile?"

Dead-pan humor is one of the goats greatest gifts, in my opinion.

I had a close friend, who was a Capricorn Sun.. Made me roar with laughter like no other growing up. Female...and I usually don´t think females are funny at all. She was. I attribute all of her humor and sarcasm to her sun / Mars in Capricorn
